Which parts of hers did you not like? Or is just her acting style?
"Mean Girls", "Wedding Crashers", and "The Notebook". She's really not this amazingly like-able actress everybody tries to make her out to be. I'm just not crazy about her acting style.

WHOAAAAA, CRAZY. Now, I understand that Durance was really hot but Hatcher? Better looking then McAdams?
Shocking isn't it? I'm by no means some huge Hatcher fan but she was indeed better looking than McAverage.

Jessica Brown Findlay, she's young for sure, in the early 20s range they might be looking for but she still looks like she can pull off a more mature look.
First I've heard of her but from the pictures I've seen I can agree with this assessment. She's young, but she's got an air of maturity about her and she's got a great look for the role:

Probably won't be her, but I'm still hoping for an unknown, out-of-the-blue casting like Cavill's. These candidates aren't impressing me and I'd hardly consider any of them to be "awesome", per Snyder's words.

I want to watch superman, not super-pedobear. Ellen Page and Henry Cavill would be a chillingly creepy combo.

I think the only reason you all are saying she's wrong for the role is that she looks young, but if that's what Snyder's going for, there's nobody in her age range who's better-suited for this role. You cannot find someone who has a better combination of qualites and on-screen charisma for Lois who's between 20-28. Ellen Page checks every box AND she has that x-factor, that unique screen presence that only she has, that she could lend to Lois Lane and it would ignite the screen. I know she doesn't seem like the obvious choice, but just think about it for a moment. What is Lois Lane supposed to be like?

Beautiful, A-list movie star beautiful, but not too beautiful, difficult combination: Ellen Page.

Comedic ability, sarcasm and humor that stems from pure intelligence: Ellen Page.

An everywoman who's instantly likable and inspires our sympathy: Ellen Page.

Confident, stubborn, and tough, but with chinks of vulnerability in the armor: Ellen Page.

Intelligent, sharp, quick mental processing ability: Ellen Page.

A bulldozer over Clark, she's not interested in him, but Superman flirting with her, she can't help but look down and blush: Ellen Page.

There is literally no other single actress who checks all of these boxes. She's got it, she's got the check list AND the x-factor. That's what Henry Cavill has and that's why he was cast. Sure, he looks like Superman, he's tall, dark hair, blue eyes, but he's got the screen presence. He's got that x-factor that Zack Snyder has been talking about recently. That's what makes him special and that's what makes Ellen Page special. Every actress who I've seen suggested for this role so far has no screen presence at all. They're interchangeable. They don't have that brash but lovable, cool, funny, intelligent charisma on screen like Ellen Page. And that fits Lois to a tee.

And she can play more adult, she just needs to be given a role where she doesn't wear pants and sweaters for the entire film, where she's made to look like a woman, not a kid. And like I said, she'll age very well through these films. By movie 2 and especially movie 3 she'll be in her late 20's/early 30's and be the impeccable image of adult Lois Lane.

You guys just can't see it now because she does have a young vibe to her, but she will grow up and become far more womanly and beautiful than she is now. So if Snyder wants youth for Lois in the first film and plans for the character to evolve in later films, Ellen Page was born to play this role at this time.

I have to completely DISAGREE with you on this one. I know I'm known for disagreeing with Olivia, but man, Ellen Page as the woman that The MAN OF STEEL, the superior being, falls in love for, the one woman that makes Clark feel human, weak in the knees for, and you think that is Ellen Page?

If you want to compare Ellen Page to anybody in the Superman mythos, than that would be Chloe. She is Chloe type of character.

For me, the male version of Ellen Page is this dude, the same quirky acting:

How about Rachel McAdams. You re such a fangirl, and i mean this in a bad way.

As for Abbie Cornish, i dont like her. Call me shallow but she has an irritating face.
Ellen Page for Jimmy Olsen
That would be funny! I kinda like it!

I could see her as Lois Lane, but i never seen her act. I will definatly watch out for her in Sucker Punch

I dunno. If "everbody" makes her out to be "amazingly like-able" then I'd say she's amazing like-able -- just not to you.

Ellen Page is a great actress and really adorable. However for Lois , not so much. She could play Lana I guess, but as Lois I really can't see it.

I knew it was only a matter of time before someone suggested Ellen ****ing Page. I've had nothing but complete disdain for this girl from the moment I became aware of her existence. She currently holds the #3 spot on my Top Five People I'd Like to Punch in the Face list. I'd rather have Zooey, and I ****ing hate Zooey. Plus, never in a million years would I ever picture Cavill & Page together. I know it's Superman & Lois, but it's still Cavill & Page, and just the thought of it makes me vomit in my mouth. Someone please stab, shoot, burn & bury this idea. Now.

Page is the female Michael Cera, no matter what charactor she plays it still feels the same. What she does works for her, there's no doubt about that, but she isn't right for Lois IMO.

Snyder said that we'll have a new casting announcement soon..very ..soon.!! I hope it is the Lois part..!!

So Jessica Biel is out with Total Recall remake, same as Olivia Wilde with a new project, Amanda didn't get it..!! That means there are still three or maybe four actresses , who probably are still on the list for the part, those are Rachel mcAdams , Emily Blunt, Gemma Arterton and Diana Argon..!! Am i right..?

Jessica Biel is another miscast for Lois Lane. Olivia Wilde definitely brings the hottness factor but I am not sure if she has the acting chops...I haven't seen her in much so can't really make that call.

i often have to remind people that now-a-days actors tackle 3 movies or more a year. just because they've signed for 1 movie doesn't mean they can't do another one. they just have to make sure they can fit them in around their schedules.

Ellen Page = Jesse Eisenberg

Yeah i agree with that, but the filming of total recall is on the same period with man of steel, don't take it personal , it's just my opinion..!!!:yay:

How's Jessica Brown Findlay as an actress?
