Days of Future Past The Official Lucas Till/Havok Thread

Lucas Till kind of surprised me in the character trailer.I had doubts that he can act but it seems I was (fortunately) wrong

I'll be honest, I've never heard the actor speak before and yet he sounds tough. It was kind of surprising to hear a strong voice coming from him. I think it suits him.

I saw Till act in Fear Itself so I wasn't too worried. It's kind of a shame he's probably not going to play a leader role with that deep voice of his. Maybe in the sequel.

He will be huge when the movie comes out. He is very attractive, consider the fact that Nicholas will be in Beast make up. Lucas will shine.

can not agree more, Fox is smart to pick very attractive actor to play Havok, lucas is not just a handsome face, havok in the trailer looks like avery hero figure; physical, voice and the action ( blasting out the fire) are very manly.

And the fact that he is not likely to be given a main lead role in a huge blockbuster movie, until much later at least, makes it easier for Fox to keep him as Havok for sequels.

I'd expect him to definitely step up to lead the team in at least one instance..

Perhaps in the sequel, after Charles supposedly ended up in the wheelchair at the end of the first movie.

Yahoo! Movies UK asked X-MEN: FIRST CLASS cast members James McAvoy, Michael Fassbender, Rose Byrne, Jason Flemyng, Nicholas Hoult, Jennifer Lawrence, Alex Gonzalez, Edi Gathegi, Zoe Kravitz, Lucas Till and Caleb Landry Jones which mutant power they would want in real life.

Lucas Till (Alex Summers/Havok) – “It’s a tossup. I think you would want something like Shaw’s power, where he can absorb kinetic energy and throw it back at something. That’s all-powerful. But you also want a little style with it, like Magneto. It’s not just all-powerful – he can bend metal and that’s it – but there’s a lot of things you can manipulate with that. I’ve always loved Magneto’s power.”

It is a shame. Considering there's already precedent with Havok having led X-Factor and an Alternate version of the X-Men in Mutant X. So it would be nice to see him potentially step up into a leadership type position in any potential sequel (with Till playing the role).

He seems like he'd definitely make a better field leader out of them all, Xavier excluded...

He looks like he'll do a great job, perhaps if they do turn it into a trilogy he'll start to become more of a leader alongside Charles, though I doubt they'd put the Professor second in command.

If Professor X gets crippled in this film then he'll probably have to pick a field leader for the sequel.

When my friend told me that Havok starts out hula hooping his powers, I laughed cuz I thought he was joking. Then I saw the trailer :lmao:

Either Beast or Havok

Banshee is too cute to be a field leader

I'd like to see Havok has field leader and Hank has second in command in a sequel, if Scott isn't introduced. Ah my head hurts my thinking of all these timelines.

I don't think Hank is leadership material. He seems kinda sheepish in the footage we've seen. But a lot can change in your personality after you get blue fur.

Havok 20 years older than Cyclops in the movie.. in the comics Havok is a few years younger than cyclops.. Doubt they'll relate the two because of the way the story goes in the comics, and how much they're contradicting it in the movie.. But you gotta expect those kind of things coming from Hollywood.

He's still Alex Summers and his powers come off as red. There has been specultation they
used the ultimate version of havok when he Is Cyclops' Older brother.

If First Class becomes a trilogy they might not even address It.Havok might only be in second film and havok would be gone In third film when they Introduce teenage
Cyclops.

Yeah that's the only thing I've ever heard of where Havok is older than Cyclops.. Also Emma Frost is the boyfriend of Young Charles Xavier in that comic.. Its safe to assume that part of this movie is taken from that.

I think they'll only make them relations if the link is clear and won't confuse, otherwise it could tuff things up big time.
