The Amazing Spider-Man The Official Marc Webb Thread

i showed you why the third movie was popular. because with the first two movies they made a huge fanbase. and to those fanbase the second movie was the best. so it was obvious that the third movie made so much money .

And yet the second movie made slightly less worldwide than the first one, and is considered the best one so far, and the third one had slightly longer legs than the first two, and yet is considered the weakest one so far. I didn't say one of the contributors to the success of the third wasn't cause of the popularity of the first two.

Pirates 2 did better than pirates 1, yet we know which one is the better movie.

Haven't commented on this yet. But I'm very intrigued and excited to see what Marc Webb does with this.

RE: Whedon/Hitch Spidey.
Really? When's that?
REALLY?! :wow:
I'm SO there!
Sorry, didn't man to get your hopes up, lads. They've been talking about it for years and years without actually working on it. You can see it pop up in random interviews with both of them from [like] 2004 and so on. It's not like it’s been abandoned or anything, though. Hitch was doing a Q & A session recently at Mark Millar's board when it was brought up which was why it was fresh in my mind. It's going to be ****ing epic.

well, lets hope its soon. hitch hasn't got anything on now that reborn has finished as far as I'm aware

Whedon should only write Spider-Man when he's allowed to grow as a character. That time is not right now in the comics.

Oh you're back now. You've finally figured out those two geniuses don't have any idea what they are talking about?

I got a marvel comic on comic day (thursday) and the center spread was pete and mj (mj was wearing a wedding dress) reaching for each other with the caption 'amazing spider-man 2010'. doesn't take a genius to work out they are going to restore the timeline. THANK GOODNESS. I stopped buying spidey after the debacle of BND.

batman and superman don't evolve and move forwards but spidey was all about moving forwards. high school, college, marraige. quesda throwing that all away because he wanted peter single again. what a load of TOSH!!

They won't restore the time line. Not while Joey Q is still EIC. That's just one more of their teases. I'll be heavily surprised if he allows his personal fan fiction to be revoked.

what else can the that center spread be?

Explaining how the wedding day ''really" went down. Like I said Joey Q wants to keep everything like he was when he was a boy when it comes to Spidey and X-Men.

That man needs to retire already.

definately. well, spidey is still selling so in his mind there is no need to change it back.

i think the changes are better than what was going on before the changes. I loved the fact that the mutant population was died down. The whole concept of the xmen is that mutants live in a world that hates and fears them, that doesnt work that well when they are the majority or close to it.

the only spidey comic I buy is USM.kinda ironic the movie will be based on USM rather than amazing.
Meh, not a big fan of USM. Too different for me. Now, Spider-Man: Noir is something I really like. It's great change, if you ask me.

Eh. There was nothing wrong with X-Men comics before M Day. And all we have now is X-Men who kill and feel more like soldiers than a family.

Tyler Perry gets complete creative control of his films. As does Uwe Boll.
Has Tyler Perry ever made what was considered one of the greatest movies of that genre of all time? Has Tyler Perry ever been given a huge budget and turned around and made blockbuster summer films that fans and critics both adore?

What a horrible comparison. Uwe Boll:dry: Has any of Boll's movies ever been in the 80-90% on RT? No. So, why would you compare a critically and fan acclaimed director who does great things on his own (see Evil Dead, SM1, SM2, and Drag Me to Hell) to Uwe Boll.:whatever:

Well that is a result of what is happening to the xmen, mutants are once again looked upon as a threat. Osborn even attacked them so obviously they had to fight back.

It's not a good vibe for the X-Men at ALL. The fact there's a whole team devoted to slicing and dicing people to death is not the X-Men I want to read.
