Meh, I cannot say I am exactly happy to see him go. I think he should've had less creative control and been prohibited from talking to the media after he turned himself into Peter Molyneux 2.0, but there is no denying that he is one of the best developers of the past 20 years.

seeing that both sony (with the stupid 10 80p with kill zone) and gear box are being sued and all this makes sense he did it to save the company some face

EA Gamescom '14 Liveblog on Joystiq

The EA presentation at this year's E3 reflected an unexpected turn for the publisher, almost as if the powers that be had hit the reset button on multiple projects. Star Wars: Battlefront, Mirror's Edge and Mass Effect were shown only in early stages – far from being completed. The snippets and behind-the-scenes framed EA's claims of rethinking development to be more active, playtested and considered.

At Gamescom this week, we'll see whether EA sticks to that message, and whether its teams at BioWare and DICE are ready to show more of their upcoming projects.

Follow the news and announcements with u, right here, this Wednesday at 10AM CEST (4AM ET, 1AM PT, 9AM UK).

At Comic-con they said this game was years away, so I doubt we see anything concrete for awhile.

Hallelujah everyone rejoice

Could you define "one of the best"?

He was exec producer/director on Kotor, Mass Effect 1+2 not to mention all the parts of 3 people did like, as well as having worked on Baldur's Gate 2 and Neverwinter Nights.

I am a big fan of KotOR and the first Mass Effect (I really like 2 and 3 as well, but find them deeply flawed), but after that I don't see him as one of the best of the last 20 years. Not with the likes of Kamiya, Kojima, Mikami, Levine, Koizumi, Druckmann and Straley to name a few.

Well that's a your mileage may vary sort of thing (I'd take ME over MGS for example), but regardless he has a very strong body of work.

It is a strong body of work, and the only knock people seem to have on him is ME3.

It just went live. But it's only the title card with background music so far.

Pictures of 2 new races homeworlds and looks like new citadel?

Yeah those concepts are really nice. And that's about all they had to share today.

I'm just glad we are getting more than 1 new alien species.

wonder if our PC will actually get to be another alien species or just human again.
