The Official Metal Gear Solid- Portable OPS thread

Boom dude, presonal request, PLEASE get rid of the conversation, the temptation to look is too much knowing I have 9 months to wait before I get it.

I got Calling to the Night downloaded on my computer, it is so awesome!

This game has two of the best Metal Gear lines ever:

Elisa: I just think you'll make a great father someday.
Snake: Elisa, I'm sorry, but...I'll never be a father.

lol. No money. Christmas. You have it?
Yes, and the story surpasses Snake Eater. Although it really didn't fulfil it's promise of fully bridging the gap between Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear.

First of all, it heavily retconned several characters (I won't spoil who though, unlike the lines I mentioned as being so cool, the retcons will spoil the story). Making a remake of Metal Gear and Metal Gear 2: Solid Snake, necessary now. I think it is very safe to assume that it will happen now, instead of saying it might happen or even never happen.

Second, there will have to be a Portable Ops 2 or some other type of interquel in order to fully bridge the gap.

The story just explains how Big Boss was capable of creating Outer Heaven, not why. It also sets up for another interquel and for Metal Gear Solid 4: Guns of the Patriots.

I didn't read your lines. I rather hear them myself, but I'm excited for this game now. It's the only reason I still have my PSP.

No. Like I already said. Portable Ops completely broke its promise of bridging the gap between Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater and Metal Gear. All it does is explain how Big Boss was capable of creating Outer Heaven, not why.

First of all, the game takes place in late 1970. The Les Enfants Terribles project happened in 1972.

Big Boss is not put into a coma from whatever battle he was in that allowed the Patriots to take the necessary DNA from Big Boss to create Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, and Solidus Snake. However, this game does confirm what was implied in Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater, that Big Boss was indeed sterile from his time spend on Bikini Atoll in nuclear weapons testing.

Good news though is that Solid Snake, Liquid Snake, and Solidus Snake do make an appearance in the greatest cutscene ever in Metal Gear history in my opinion.

What's up with the way Snake holds the gun and knife? It looks so.

I got it today and was trying to play it earlier at like, 5ish, and I just could not get past how not badass that s**t looked. I'm sure it'll wear off but jeez. That stealth suit ain't helping the image either. :csad:

Just ignore the gay hands and the stealth suit and concentrate on the eye patch.

Eye patches are badass, and chicks dig eye patches

Aiiightio then,I just talked with Campbell and stuff. I'm gonna go play until sunrise. And then feel like killing myself for not sleeping later on in school. Toodlers, and thanks for the linkage to the sweetass song.

The legs are a bit weird. Other than that I think the suit is kinda cool.
