One of the most epic moments in MGS history.:up::up::up::up:

I like Snake/Otacon/Raiden's slow motion walk myself. :D

I'm a bit sleepy now, but tomorrow I will try to write a few words about why MGS2 along with the original was the best of the series instead of the grossly overrated MGS3. Despite it's numerous plot missteps, narratively speaking MGS2 was so far ahead of its time that only now gamers have started to come around and recognize its brilliance. It was bold and ambitious in a way that completely shames other entries in the franchise and when those risks worked, it resulted in some of the most rewarding payoffs in the history of the saga.

It's not for you, Boom or Llama. It's for the other blokes in this thread.

I absolutely love mgs2, but it can't top 3 for me, and 4 for that matter as well, 3 had the best story within the game itself and 4 just wrapped everything up so perfectly for me, in my opinion of course

I'm playing MGS3 Subsistence again, and I finally timed the opening 3.5 hrs of the game (from opening cutscene to the end of Naked Snake and Eva's first codec conversation, sans Para-Medic movie trivia). Guess how much of that was approximately gameplay. I guessed 45 min, but it turned out to be half an hour more than that (I replayed the opening whilst skipping all the cutscenes and codec calls). Still, a ratio of gameplay to cutscenes should be nowhere near 1:2. Everyone already knows MGS3 takes its sweet time to get going, but I just felt like sharing some numbers. After a couple of days I plan on pulling a Fenris and explaining why Subsistence is my favorite MGS (full disclosure: I have only played MGS 2-4, and I started the series by playing the PS2 games in reverse order), when I'm actually awake and free to do so.

Also, MGS3 is chock full of awesome scenes, particularly any where there is CQC involved, or Naked getting his hand/arm/eye injured. Not to mention the 2nd time Naked makes Ocelot look like a fool, saying that he doesn't have what it takes to kill him, and then Ocelot pulled the trigger to no avail. Snake's a boss for being able to know how many shots other people have left in their weapons. Also, when Eva asked Snake why he stopped her from killing Ocelot, if he'd said something like "because he's in the next 3 games so I can't let you create a time paradox" instead of "he's still young", that would have made for an excellent joke cutscene.

I'm finishing up my MGS3 HD playthrough, and I will never understand why Kojima or anyone at Konami thought it was a good idea to put a terrible escort mission at the end of the end of the game. It totally kills every bit of momentum the game has at the end.

Yeah the Eva bit was my least favorite part of it. I dread it whenever I make it to the end.

Something new from the rest I guess. It was never that bad. Plus I wanted to play around with her to see her reactions. The whole thing kind of remind me of the time you spent with merly in mg1.

Escorting otacon's sister was BAD!

Yeah, I wasn't a fan of escorting Eva... But I hated the whole Emma thing as well.

You know, if I had actually seen the image before I would have known it was a fake because it uses Rising's old logo.

Y'know, I think I might get myself a custom cover with the old logo, because I don't really like the new logo. I hope we get some more Rising info soon, I mean, isn't it supposed to come out this year?

There's a new trailer tomorrow.

Also, totally agree with Fenrir and Soapy about MGS2 being ahead of it's time (as I've said before) but MGS3 is my favorite game of all time, it's not overrated one bit.

Is it a trailer? If so, that's good. Also, it's good that the game appears to be going into Raiden's past since it looks like Solidus and Rose are returning.

I just started playing Peace Walker, seems pretty cool so far by the way, but is there any circumstance where you don't want to just hit auto assign on your dudes at the base?

here's some thin cool solid snake dropped by the CVA's (founded by victor lucas of Ep and reviews on the run )to help out his voice David Hayter

I always manually put them into place.. But yeah, Auto assign will pretty much do that for you.

It sucks that Peace Walker wont be on this but man does the cover to the Vita version look lovelt

I really didn't care for Peace Walker... I mean, it was OK but... Eh. I will take MGS3 and MGS2 over it any day.

If I had a Vita, I would be getting it even though I own it on the PS3...LOL. MGS3 doesnt seen like a good game for on the go at all but I can see alot of value in the VR missons from 2
