Always preferred the red laser beams. Simple, but effective especially for moving images.

By heat rays do you mean like the shimmery Smallville version?

Hoping for something like this myself -

This please thanks.

Going on a kids book, it's a laser beam:

These I Can Read books are a guilty pleasure in the bookstore, man. They prove to me that I can in fact read.

Red laser beams ftw.

Always preferred the 'old school' laser beam to the moew contemporary heat beam; I understand that the latter may be more 'realistic' but the fomers always been more visually interesting to me.

Old school laser beams look like they have physical force behind them, new school heat waves look more subtle and more melty. If Superman hits you with the laser vision, it should burrow and incinerate you in one spot, like a focused laser.

I really wonder if there's going to be some exposition about Zod's second armored suit. The bulkier one he has on Earth could have greater capabilities compared to the more regular one we see everyone else has.

Have there been any photos yet of Zod's helmet? Other than those Halloween costume pictures?

Haha. I was looking at the above picture and someone walked past and said "that's an ugly looking thing." The mask has had the desired affect. Creepy Zod.

After seeing Iron Man 3, I will say that I think the only contendor against Shannon for villain of the year will be Cumberbatch :)

I hope they've got this right I really do. Between TASM last year and Iron Man 3 this year, i'm just tired of the villain plot being the one thing that lets the movie down. :(

I think Michael Shannon can bring it. Pretty inspired casting by Snyder to be honest.

IM3 Spoilers. [BLACKOUT]Ben Kingsleys Mandarin was kinda designed to be this big fakeout though. It was pretty clever considering all the marketing of the film centering on building him up. Unless you're referring to Guy Pearce's Killian, in which case yeah, a bit weak. I'm still laughing at when he breathed fire like a dragon though. A friend and I have been getting kicks out've that for a few days.[/BLACKOUT]

So glad the mask doesn't look ridiculous like the halloween costume mask, although it was never really a worry.

Despite my disappointment, I thought IM3's villains were still badass. Especially the main one.

That is who I was talking about, but yeah the comedy in the film was gold :D

Haha. Yeah, seriously. F*** Prometheus. One of the most disappointing films in recent memory.

Anyway, the Zod mask reminds me a lot of the cartoon MASK from the 80s. I'm pretty sure one or two of the characters had a mask like that. Not knocking it; it looks really badass.
