I don't care if he's refined the helmet in X1 etc, I've always preferred the classic look, which is what the new helmet in FC seems to be more like. I vastly prefer that to McKellan's one. It looks much more intimidating precisely because of the medieval feel.
sorri something wrong with my browser....really sorri,,,,
That last one was me. Sorry.
I cracked up at JP's post, so I felt like being a smartass.
Fassbender looks Great and I want that helmet right now!
However
Other than that, these pictures are total effin rubbish
ugly costumes, McAvoy just doesn't read as Xavier with hair, and HefBacon is not in any way Shaw...and why is Emma a bond girl?? I get the setting thing, but really, a white jumpsuit?
James McAvoy doesn't act with his hair.McAvoy just doesn't read as Xavier with hair
That new helmet looks very clunky compared to McKellen's. Almost has a medieval feel. It may be more faithful, but it's too big and too "loose".
azazel?? angel salvadore??....some of these characters are no names in comics yet they make it to the big screen. Costumes look cheesy, i feel a flop coming on.
And yet neither Ra's al Ghul, Scarecrow or Henry Ducard are household names to the mainstream viewer. Didn't stop the fanboys buttlicking the Batman films and cheering at the thought that Deadshot, Black Mask and Hugo Strange may be in The Dark Knight Rises. Not a single one of those names is known to the mainstream viewer.
Having SOME lesser-known characters in First Class does not signal a flop. Magneto, Xavier, Mystique and Beast are all faces from the existing franchise, Emma Frost is well known from the comics, and by the nature of being a prequel, it can't include all the same characters as we've seen before. Do we have to keep seeing the exact same line-up over and over? Let me answer that for you: No we don't. Now don't be silly.
