Yesterday MS announced that you will have to have a gold account to dvr games, etc.. Today Sony announced that you do NOT need PS Plus to record and stream games.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure that Sony has already confirmed that the only things that will be behind the pay wall are traditional online multiplayer games and the free games that PS+ offers.

God of War II director returns to Sony Santa Moica Studios

Not surprising, since blu-ray players were ten times more expensive when the PS3 came out. In fact the PS3 had the first blu-ray player that could be bought under 1000 dollars.

Why can't UK get a PS Vita cut like the US? !6GB Memory card is £27 or £30.... I heard Sony might bundle Vita with PS4 for a $500. Here's a hope for UK.

With the way Microsoft has been transitioning, I wouldn't be surprised to see Skype end up on the PlayStation 4. Microsoft is a company just like Google and Apple and all of these companies have allowed their products end up on competing platforms. A reason why Google is huge is because they allow things like YouTube and Google Maps/Waze on the iPhone, and Microsoft allows Skype on iPhones and Androids, and Apple allows iTunes and Quicktime on PCs.

It's not like Skype is a system seller for the Xbox the way video games like Halo, Fable, Forza, and Gears of War are. People don't buy an Xbox to Skype, especially since they can Skype on their computers, their phones, and their televisions. Skype is more along the lines of Microsoft's several platform agnostic products like Office, SkyDrive, Internet Explorer, Bing, etc. While Microsoft wouldn't benefit at all to see their AAA video game franchises on the PlayStation, they would most definitely benefit to have Skype on the PlayStation.

Hippie makes some interesting points which I can see happening but Skype being on Vita doesn't mean it will be on the PS4. Skype was on Vita before MS bought that company. Any existing deals that were in place before that werent effected and MS couldn't pull it if they had wanted to.

I hope Sony starts going out in public again soon. I assume they are waiting until Gamescom, and letting Microsoft finish up with all their changes, before talking in depth with the press again, but it seems like every day there are new articles and details about the Xbox One while Sony stays relatively silent.

Bingo. They already said that there will be a ton of announcements there. You also have to keep in mind that MS has pretty much been doing damage control since E3. Sony really didn't have to be has present in the past month. Just two more weeks and we'll see/hear more
