I don't see how people can be mad at 5 GB for developers, if it was true, when that is still like way more then they had this generation.

Bc its the Internet and people will always find a reason to complain. The PS3 has 512mb total ram. The PS4 will be able to utilize more than 10 times that. By comparison the Wii U has 1gb for gaming. The 5.5gb is more than enough for now and I don't see it being much of a hinderance 5 years from now bc again it is so much more than what's currently available

No. The two consoles have basically the same amount of RAM available for games. The PS4 has faster RAM than the One, and as Sony optimizes the OS over the course of the life cycle, more and more RAM will become available to developers. Sony was able to get the PS3 OS from 120MB at launch down to just 50MB over the life cycle.

The current rumor of around 5GB-6GB available for developers is still a massive leap over the current generation. It's all still rumor though, Sony hasn't confirmed or denied anything.

The reason they are holding off so much RAM for the OS is to futureproof it. They didn't do that with the PS3 and it made things much harder when they tried to add features like Trophies and the in-game XMB.

Being a big leap over the last gen is a given surely if this generation is going to last a decade like the big guys seem to be looking for. 512 MB meant for eg no party chat and unnecessary problems with Skyrim right? We don't know what 5-6B will mean in 7 years for Elder Scrolls VII. PCs are obviously different but mine is not top of the range (a few hundred pounds over the price of a next gen console) and has 16GB which can be upgraded at any point over the next few years. There will likely be no probs in the 1st 5 or 6 years on any next gen game but after that point certain types of games might start feeling the pinch..noone knows yet. That's aimed at both consoles btw. (just for ref I believe on pc BF3, Skyrim & Crysis 2 require 2GB RAM & recommend 4GB..but correct me if I'm wrong, still new to pc gaming)

RAM isn't that important for the wii U as it's not even going to be trying to play true next gen games that come out after this initial batch of dual gen (or dual gen-able t releases and also isn't trying to offer the same range of multimedia services. The wii U just needs to get its big games out and go in for a big (huge) price cut.

I've read that people have cancelled their PS4 pre-order and jumped over to pre-ordering XB1!?,Damn people panic too quickly.

It was just a rumor and even IF it was true it seems like it wouldn't be as bad it seemed

I doubt it would be just based on that. If anyone's doing that it's probably some of those Xbox guys who had jumped ship due to the used games / always online stuff and weren't ready to jump straight back once the 180 was announced.

Do we need the camera to use spectate mode or live stream our gameplay?,IF so then do both parties need a camera?like if I want to spectate a friend can I just use my cam even if he/she doesn't have one?

Overall..Kinda But launch titles never matter much to me since I only get one or two games,For PS4 I'm just interested in Battlefield 4 at launch and of course as I've said many times..F2P games

Yeah. None of the launch titles scream out to me. Infamous is my most anticipated game and it won't drop till next year. I'll get Killzone if I get a PS4 but I'm cautious as 3 was a disappointment

I rarely play multiplayer games, but when I do I get a crazy amount of hatemail on PSN. I get nasty hatemail for winning, I get nasty hatemail for losing, it just doesn't stop. I don't know how people put up with it. They need to fix this on PS4. Should have fixed it on PS3.

The only mail Ive gotten is random friend requests. I never get any messages...
