Got an email from my local Best Buy that my console will be ready for pickup this Friday. They are also having a midnight release but I think I'm gonna pass on that; from what I've heard, those things are crazy. I can wait.

They are offering a 4-year protection plan as well as a 2-year. I think I'm gonna get the 4 year. It's a nice bit of padding in case hardware-wise things go south. Not worried though.

Anyone been reading some of the reviews going around the net about the PS4? The hardware, UI, Controller, are all getting high marks and praise. So excited for this! t:

Took this at Walmart seconds ago.. BF4 PS4 1080p and up to 66 players! Not sure if that's been confirmed yet. Pay me no mind if it has.

Would have been $500, but there was a law passed recently in my state about taxes on Amazon. :/

Which negates one of the big reasons I love Amazon. I probably won't buy much on there now because of that.

Early PlayStation 4 adopters are reporting hardware failure & console locks

I think there are 4 known cases at the moment, maybe 5. One of Kotaku's units had a faulty HDMI connector which wouldn't allow the HDMI cord to plug in all the way, so it wasn't sending a signal.

I KNOW!!! I'm constantly checking to see if the status has been changed to "Shipping Soon". So far, no luck. I suspect that we will be getting our shipping emails around lunchtime tomorrow. Can't freaking wait!!

So early adopters may have to send the consoles in for repair already or wait for new versions or most problems can be fixed with patches/updates?

Months ago . I preordered it from ebgames and they should have known to get ready. It was terribly foolish of them.
