haha, but it's only 4 or 5 cases out of how many? I remember when i got my DS Lite and the damn hinge broke on it (a very wide spread problem) right out the box.

Yeah, the number of cases is pretty small. That's why I am purchasing a protection plan. But then again, I've known friends/family that bought launch PS3s that had absolutely no issues...that is until some of them YLOD after a few years. I doubt we'll see that issue come back again though. These PS4s are built off pretty much the same design as the Slims. Quiet, cool, reliable machines.

So early adopters may have to send the consoles in for repair already or wait for new versions or most problems can be fixed with patches/updates?

There seem to be two issues. One, which Kotaku and I think one other had which was the HDMI port being faulty. That needed repairs. The other issue is possibly either a bad HDD, or one that wasn't seated properly. There was a long running stream last night of some (idiot) trying to fix his bricked PS4, he was really bad at following instructions and it sounds like it first crashed because he pulled the power cord while downloading something, he also removed the HDD while the console was still plugged in.

Yeah I'll probably get the protection plan on it.. The one's from GameStop are actually pretty good where if anything happens between two to three years you simply take your system back and get a new one.

I THINK they're only 15 bucks too...If you don't get it right away I think you have two weeks to add it on and other than that youre covered for 30 days by the store.

I've gotta say, I don't regret skipping out on the Vita, but suddenly after seeing all of the remote play stuff, I suddenly find myself wanting one for when I get my PS4 next year.

Try to get your hands on a launch Vita if you can (when and if you decide to pick one up) as I've read they have a much better screen.

I enjoy my Vita but it's going to be used SO much more now.

Yeah I heard about the screen being worse on the newer version, even though everything else is supposed to be an improvement. Maybe I'll try to get a new one and then trade it for my brother's launch Vita. I don't think he plays it too much, but I'm sure he's going to want one once he gets his PS4 tomorrow.

Screen aside, the new Vita is better in every other way. Better battery life, you can connect via USB instead of that proprietary port the original had, lighter/thinner, 1gb flash memory, etc... If it were available in the US now, Id get it over the original unless that had a very tempting discount. I think a newcomer wont notice a difference between the screens bc unless they've owned one, they wont have that frame of reference. For me at least, I dont see it being a deal breaker. A BF sales could have done that but unfortunately none of the retailers have any sales on it. Maybe Amazon might

And...There are people online complaining that Killzone is "too colorful now.."

Although a light hearted Killzone would be hilarious.

Our Target here will not release any of the games until tomorrow. So none have been "picked" so to speak. So hopefully.

VB: Are there currently any Tales games in development for the Playstation 4? Will there ever be any plans to bring the series to X-Box One?

HB: Yes, we are currently in the very early phases of work for next generation Playstation titles! But we still have no plans to bring the series back to the X-Box, or X-Box One. We feel that our core fanbase leans toward the Playstation 3/Playstation 4, so we are focusing our efforts on bringing the best possible Tales experience there!
