yeah its ridiculous. I barely touch my PS4 bc of the lack of games. Im sure that will change today with Watch Dogs, but Ive spent like 80% of my gaming this year with my PS3. Cant even turn on the PS4 for media functionality bc its lacking in that department too. Oh well, at least I still have my PS3

yeah.......if I could go back in time and do things differently, I think I probably would have skipped buying a PS4 last XMAS and waited for the holiday season this year ( which was my original plan ) before buying a next gen console.

especially if I knew then that MS would release a Kinect-less X1 for $100 less in 2014 and release most of the apps from the stupid Gold paywall.

Not saying the X1 offers that much more in terms of features, but I think I should have just waited and bought an X1 this year instead.

the lack of media support on the PS4, and the scarcity of games in the early half of 2014, have limited my PS4 usage. I still spend most of my time on the PS3 ( mainly for media playback ) and I've even dusted off my 360.

I'm still amazed that both Sony and MS have yet to add mp3/mp4/media playback and support to their consoles.

although with MS adding external HDD support, that seems like a step in the right direction on their part.

I think MS is gonna have the Halo HD Collection for their big Fall Exclusive, what is Sony bringing now that The Order: 1886 is delayed.
Drive Club :csad:. There's always E3 but that only gives them 4-5 months. Sony typically doesn't give such short notice on their big titles as they take at least a year to promote and hype them up

They'll probably follow up Last of Us Remastered with God of War Ascension/3 Remastered which has been rumored

I think local PS1 and PS2 emulation would be a good move. Not enough, but it's a nice touch.

I would not be surprised if they're already working on an HD Uncharted collection.

Has GTA 5 already been announced for the Xbox One and PS4?

I understand this, but there were a few key titles promised for the end of this year that had me thinking, fine I'll go with you. It is now clear they were baiting. Even Infamous, which I really enjoyed, just felt incomplete. Child of Light and Transistor have both been great though.

I can understand this. With some of the games being pushed back now yeah that sucks. I mean I have enough games out now/coming out to satisfy me. Plus still have ps3 as well so have things on there I can go back to if I want.

Yeah, I don't get rid of my consoles so I am good. About to get a Wii U as well. I am just a little disappointed. The Order, Bayonetta 2, Arkham and Witcher 3 (which isn't their fault) were what I was really looking forward to this year. Now I might end up with only one coming out this year.

Arkham is really being pushed? I thought it was a rumor?

Arkham is the one I am most sure about coming out this year. They still haven't given a US release date for Bayonetta 2. That has me worried.

So youtube.com/tv really does work,a decent work around until there's eventually an app

Has there been any updates on that service that was going to make older games like Uncharted available for PS4?

The Beta expanded to PS4 recently. I'm sure they will announce all the release details at E3.

I have. I tested my internet connection and it said it was good to stream, but then I tried to stream a game and it said it couldn't be done. I haven't tried again.

Is anyone else's Hulu Plus app on PS4 acting weird? Mine were actually stop every now and then to bugger (I have FAST internet, should not be buffering. Nothing else does) Plus sometimes i'll get an error saying there was a problem with the stream and it kicks me back to the Hulu menu.

so are we expecting any redesigns to the PS4 UI announced at E3?

This more of a Nintendo thing, I think. They generally don't give specific release dates until relatively close to said date. We didn't know MK8 was going to be released on May 30th until the MK Direct which was, I believe, around the end of February, might have even been the very beginning of March. It was only known to be Summer. Hyrule Warriors was another recent one. It was part of a January direct and the August release date was only released last week.

I don't think so but they damn well better. Its a cluttered mess as it stands only 6 months out. Its almost worse than the XMB bc everything is big and takes up so much space.

yeah. it definitely needs work. better organization.

I think there's a good chance they'll reveal a new UI design,I sure would love one,Even better if we have different options or able to customize our own!

1 year post launch, the PS4 fall lineup sucks! Im looking at it and it seems to be a barren wasteland. With all these delays a year post release, the fall lineup doesnt look any better or much different than launch. Actually it probably was better last fall, even if not by much. You have another CoD and another AC as the two big titles. Sony's only announced exclusive is Drive Club which itself is a delayed launch title. Destiny seems to be the only standout if you care about FPS but the market has plenty of those.

I was thinking back to the PS3 and it seemed to have a better lot of games its fall following launch. I got mine in the summer of 2007, and I had plenty to look forward to that fall with September releases of Heavenly Sword and Warhawk came out followed by Ratchet and Clank: Tools of Destruction, Uncharted, Assassins Creed, CoD4 and Unreal Tournament 3. Good variety there AND they were all exclusive to that console generation

Yeah, the new generation is off to kind of a ****** start. Unless you own a Wii U, plenty of some good games there at least.

Ya, kinda typical, but I hoped the X1 and PS4 would have had more by the end of this year. But oh well. 2015 will be one of those "expensive/crazy" years.

I remember seeing some parts of the gamer press predicting this would happen though. So I'm not that surprised.

in terms of exclusives, yeah, the fall lineup is pretty bleak for both consoles.

but if you consider multi-plat games, it doesn't seem so bad.

Dragon Age is the 1st real RPG available for X1 and PS4, and that has the potential to be huge.

Shadows of Mordor also looks interesting.
