I think this may happen, though I fear it will be butt ugly like the Call of Duty bundle. Maybe have Master Chief's face plastered on it.

Learn from Sony, Microsoft. They may make a defect-riddled console, but damn does it look sexy.

but, yeah, that would make a nice "Holiday bundle." Get on it MS!!

well, since a 1 TB model is coming this fall ( the CoD version ), it would seem likely that a standard version shouldn't be too far behind.

I'm sure there are many consumers like myself who want the 1 TB drive, but not the CoD inspired design of the console and controller.

so, if demand is great, I'm sure they will release a standard 1 TB model. and getting it out before the holidays would be smart.

and I'd imagine Sony would follow suit with a 1 TB model of their own.

I actually considered picking up the COD Bundle. Im not a COD fan but I thought that exlusive console looked sick. I normally dont like exclusive console designs, but something that one just makes me want to pull out my wallet and throw down $500 right there. The flat grey 2 tone design and the stamps and symbols and the yellow insignia and gold trimming just has me thinking:

Which like I said is really weird for me, cause I never go in for exclusive bundle designs and colors.

I actually hope that Mircosoft releases a standard 2 tone Xbox at some point in the not so distant future. The case design of the Xbox One leans itself towards a 2 tone. Making it solid black was a missed opportunity to stand out and have some flair.

Idk Im just sick of solid black cases.

I think it may just be the disc. Which does seem wasteful. But on the other hand if it's not and it is the PS4 disc drive, then I would have to send them back two opened copies of Destiny, the PS4, and then they would have to send me another PS4, with another copy of Destiny.

I guess this is just the simpler option.

Microsoft is clearly serious now though. I would not be surprised if we saw the game being given for free with an Xbox One this black friday. Albeit a standard 500 GB Xbox One.

They want to get those things in peoples' homes.

Well, they got it in my home for a few days..........

I mean......I didn't open the box.....and then I returned it.........

but an X1 was in my home!!

and the thing is.........I'd really like to stay with the PS4. I mean.....I just saw the Bloodborne trailer.......holy ****!!!

But I'm getting frustrated at the pace Sony's adding features to the PS4. That's one area MS is kicking their butts.

I just want basic media player functionality that was available on the PS3. It's been almost a year now and we still don't have that.

and maybe a redesigned, more functional browser ( though I can live without that ). idk......release a Chrome or Firefox browser app.

and a better organized UI.

I'm hoping they will finally announce the release date for Update 2.0 at TGS and reveal those features above.

Cuz, overall, for me, I'd say the pros of the PS4 outweigh the X1. And I'd really like to keep the PS4 as my sole console.

make me satisfied Sony, and I won't even have to look at that X1..........

Well, I contacted Amazon and they're sending me a new bundle. I tried to tell them it might just be the disc, but they're sending me the whole shebang.

Apparently they've had so many defective PS4's that they redid their entire exchange policy.

Comforting thought...

I'd probably get Tekken for like 20 bucks. Not saying it's not worth full price if you like fighting games, but I'm just not that into them.

I'm planning to explore more genres I usually don't go for with this generation. Racing, fighting, etc.

Come Black Friday though, there should be a lot of good sales.

I would like to pick up Tomb Raider, Last of Us, and Wolfenstein.

I'd probably get Killzone for 10 or 15 bucks.

yeah I don't see why not. Delete your accounts and if you can't then just change your password, and I would keep the games on there.

I think SSF4 was my last full price fighting game I'm buying for awhile. I love fighting games, it just seems like they milk franchises anymore. They came out with what, 3-4 versions of SSF4 by the end? If you want to add on some DLC characters, fine. However having to buy an entirely new copy, and seeing a flood of overpriced costume packs (some of which you have to buy in some games to fight against people using them), just kind of took my enthusiasm down a notch for the genre. That said, I haven't bought a Tekken in a long time, maybe it can change my mind. Tekken Tag with friends, or MVC 2 fights bring back a lot of memories. Until then, Mugen on PC is holding me over just fine.

aren't your digital titles tied to your PSN account?

so, if you delete your account on the console, then those digital titles won't be playable.

in order for the next buyer to access those games, you'd have to leave your PSN account on the system, I would think.

I could be wrong about that. but, personally, I'd never leave my account info on the console.

I'm pondering this, too, as I'm considering selling my PS3 and 360.

I've already deleted my accounts from my PS3 and reformatted the drive several times. To be extra cautious, I may even swap out the drive for a brand new one. Sure, that would cut into the profit, but it would offer peace of mind.

like I said I'm not really a fanatic about fighting games in general, just Tekken in particular I grew up playing. And I haven't bought a new Tekken game since 6, unless you count Tekken hybrid which was TTTHD and a demo of TTT2. Didn't bother getting TTT2 though. If it was exclusive, I would've.

And I know there was a controversy behind SFxT because of how they had DLC of characters that were already on the disc and damn did capcom take a lot of heat for that lol. Bioware did that too with Me3. Shame these corporations just won't learn their lessons.

honestly, I've never been much a fan of the Tekken series. just never got into it, and I'd say it's probably my least favorite of the "mainstream" fighting series.

I much prefer the Soul Calibur series. not just for the weapon style gameplay, but also because in recent games, you can create your own characters.

well I got into it at Tekken 3, which is where the series peaked at being "mainstream" at all. and then also maybe with TTT because it was a launch title for Ps2.

soul calibur 2 was one of the greatest fighting games ever in my opinion. and i'm pretty sure they let you create characters starting from the 3rd

Apparently this is abnormal. Maybe it's a batch of faulty discs?

Whatever, I'll live with it. But if anyone here has Destiny, I'd be curious to know if the disc behaves any differently for them.

hmmmm......yeah. that definitely sounds like the Destiny disc is at fault.

The odd thing is that other people have had this issue as well. Wish there was more information.

The disc looks fine, it works fine, it just sounds weird. I guess as long as it doesn't hurt the PS4, I can deal with 5 minutes of disc noise every session.

raven x knight, I gotta tell you this laggy Ds4 is not an isolated incident for me. It can't be.

I first noticed it with my red Ds4 from Japan that I had & sold with the black Ps4, then with the white Ds4 that came with Destiny, and now again with the new white Ds4 that best buy gave me to replace it. at first I thought it was because of the low battery, but then EVERYBODY would be noticing it, so far it seems still like it's just me. but it's happened to me with 3 controllers, so I know it can't be just me.

Also with the 3 beeps thing when turning the Ps4 off,

Have I asked you yet? Does your copy of Destiny make your disc drive noticeable for five minutes after starting?

the funny thing is.....I could say the exact same thing about MS and the X1.

reading all the "horror" stories online did kind of scare me off from keeping it.
