The Official PS4 Thread - Part 8

People keep saying that, and it's misleading. Microsoft repackaged the Xbox One and sold it without the Kinect for 399. That is quite different from a conventional price cut. Microsoft isn't selling the Xbox One at a loss, since the Kinect cost most of that. There was the 50 dollar price cut, and that has made a dent.

Microsoft has Halo coming. Not a time to be complacent.

You know, back when I was saying that Sony wasn't doing enough, and that Microsoft was doing everything, and essentially what you're saying now. No one ever ceased to attack the crap outta me.

But I guess since you've been here longer you've developed enough respect that you can say more things and it won't be bad. :shr:

Oh there are plenty of users who have contempt for me, I assure you.

However, Microsoft's price cut seems to have been very effective. And Christmas isn't even here yet.

I like to think I don't attack anyone.

Eh, I think it's more a case of people who disagree not caring as much. A lot of people pop in, have a decent sized discussion/argument, and then let it go for an extended period of time until they feel like commenting on it again. It's not quite like you, Thunder, and X Knight who seem to be able to go in an endless circle about the same thing an infinite amount of times.

And I don't mean that as any kind of insult, by the way. Just an observation of the ebb and flow of the thread.

the price cuts and bundles and deals certainly look like they've done their job for the X1.

I'd be very surprised if the X1 didn't win November according to the NPD data. I'll also be curious to see how the PS4 fared despite all that.

The big question then becomes......what about December and what about after the holidays........

Can the X1 keep the momentum? If MS raises the price back up to the normal levels, will sales drop off again? ( They've pretty much boxed themselves into a corner on price. I think they'll keep the new price at $350. it's obviously working. )

and if MS does give it a permanent price cut, will Sony follow suit?

I will say this, though, if Sony blows their huge lead and end up behind this gen, it's their own damn fault. that means they really did become complacent and arrogant again.

hopefully, that's not the case.

personally, I'm eager to see what they have to show this weekend. I just don't want to hear about upcoming games. I want to hear about upcoming features. Give us a glimpse as to what we can expect feature-wise in 2015.

moi?? :o :oldrazz:

well, as I've said before, I think everyone has a different style of expressing themselves.

some of us are more passionate or "vocal" about certain issues and thus more prone to constantly discussing those issues.

with that being said, though, I think I've harped enough about media this and media that to the point where I'm tired of talking about it myself and now I really don't give a hoot anymore.

I mean.....I still care about those issues, I'm just tired of talking about the same thing over and over again......

so, it's out of my system...........lol

just like I finally tried out the X1 and got that out of my system........lol.

I'm not really talking about that per say. Just kind of how some, you three in particular, can really just keep...going. About anything, really. At least as far as this and the Xbone thread.

that's what we do. it's what we live for. :o

It'd be special if you guys could do it about games :o

I don't think anyone here's got contempt for you, dude.

And yeah, you come off as a very calm and not so very emotional poster to me. Like the kid in class who would raise his hand to answer questions and also to have inquiring things to say.

I like to think that my posting has become much more favorable than it was since like, September though. But when myself and someone else disagrees on something I wish things wouldn't have to become so personal.

Well I agree with everything you always say about the lack of media features on the Ps4, and I think you have a right to express it as much as you want. I just ain't as vocal about it. When the topic arises, that's when I'll post about my frustrations but I think it's fine if you want to bring it up more. After all, the Ps4 is still way behind the Ps3 in this respect, and that is unacceptable.
Forum's too dead for that unfortunately.

On here, unfortunately you're right. That's why it's mostly the same posters here and we've all sorta gotten to know each other quite well. And it's also why Tron Bonne was able to mention you me and X as a trio, lol.

Neogaf's got a lot of fast paced discussion though.

During PSX 2014, EA's Peter Moore announced that three free games will be coming to Sony's trio of consoles. Starting today, anyone can download Need for Speed: Most Wanted on PlayStation Vita, Mirror's Edge on PlayStation 3, and Plants vs. Zombies Garden Warfare PlayStation 4.

It's unclear whether this trio of games will be free forever, so we suggest downloading them sooner rather than later.
I just copy pasted everything that was written there. Didn't tell me how to download it!!!!!!!!!!!

Do you not just go to the shop and....download it? That's what I take back from that.

Use your common sense. How does one download games on the PS4/PS3/Vita? Its the same process for each platform

pretty much. Its really not that complicated to comprehend

It was a just a straight re-release of FFVII, not a full remake. Well, I think Havok mentioned in another thread that it was thought to be the PC version, which was slightly enhanced.
