Just like I will never understand why someone who hates these films still comes in a thread of a movie they hate. Of course unless the said person is a troll and is looking to get banned.

Don't like my opinion? Put me on ignore.
I'm not being rude to anyone while expressing my dislike for these movies.
Newsflash: Every movie thread is not a love letter to that particular film, so you better get used to people saying stuff worse than my "trolling" about your precious torture porn flicks.
Calling someone a "troll" just because they don't like the same thing as you?
K my A.

I'm actually surprised I've managed to enjoy all four. But IMHO I think the fourth should've ended the series with a definitive ending. I just just have absolutely no interest in watching a 5th or 6th.

I love how wrong the tagline is "You wont believe how it ends". With a twist maybe?

This is was definitely one of my top 5 most anticipated movies of '08. Can't wait. Gonna be awesome!
Same here, this movie probably top 2 most anticipated along with TDK. I just love these films, probably one of the best horror trilogies made imo...You don't see many films like these that keep its continuity all thru out the series..

Yeah, this series is great and has never let me down. The story, characters, traps are just great. I don't care what anyone says, this series deserves its credit. The actors are great and the plot never lets up.

I just bought my Tickets for Saw Fest on Thursday

The Tickets were only 15 dollars not bad when the Theater will show all 5 movies.

I don't think I could sit and watch all the Saw movies back to back like that.

Ya,as much as I like the movies I don't think I could sit thru all 5 movies at one time. I've watched the series in the past week, but not all at once.

You really want to know?
Just the first 2, and honestly, I shouldn't have bothered with the 2nd one, but hey, it was a friend's rental.
I'm still sad I wasted money on the first one :(
Serves you right.
And since you haven't seen the rest, you're not nearly as qualified to criticise them. You're not up to speed with the entire product. So either you commit and sit through them all, or your opinion has no real merit in a thread about a sequel you know nothing about and most probably won’t even see. Looking at your predisposition, I guess you're damned if you do and damned if you don't.

Look here, guy...

This is a thread to voice your opinion about something, be it good or bad.

I didn't come here so that my opinion has "real merit" with any of the fans of these crappy movies.
I just typed what I thought, which wasn't even a review of this movie, but more of a "5? I can't believe they made more than 1" kind of comment.

Again, don't like it? Put me on ignore.

Jesus Christ, make one negative comment about something and you're labeled a "troll" in 2 seconds, I mean, come on. You love your little movies? That's cool, just be happy and accept that some people won't.

"Either you commit and sit through them all..."? Hahaha, please.

First of all, your post sounded a lot less constructive as you make it sound to be now.
Second, it's not about just voicing your own opinion. It's about contributing to the discussion, be it positive or negative criticism alike. You're little sentence gives nothing.
If you're really here ‘just to voice your opinion’, you'd be out of here as soon as you posted it. But you're still here, aimlessly.

Checking this out this weekend. One is good, two is good, three was okay, four took it up a notch, and I'm definitely curious for five...

So is there going to be a 2 disc version of Saw 4, or is Lionsgate not doing one?

Not this time. And has anyone else seen Comingsoon.net's Weekend Warrior projections for the upcoming weekend?

1. High School Musical 3: Senior Year - $46.4 million
2. Saw V - $23.3 million

In the words of Bruce Wayne, "I certainly hope not."

Well I do agree with him about one thing, it was well established quite a few pages ago that his opinion has no merit whatsoever, hence he should be ignored.

Yeah, I believe it. HSM is huge...and it will get a much bigger audience with the kid crowd. I was just in London and saw the crowds outside the premiere in Leicester Square--total madness. They say the advance ticket sales there were outpacing the last Harry Potter film and the latest Bond movie.

I'm definitely rooting for HSM. I have no plans to see it, but I'm a Disney stockholder. So go Wildcats.

London also had bus ads for Saw V with a big "POSTER BANNED" splashed across the ad, with a web address to check out the rest of the poster.

I decided to come back and as for the projections of HSM3 beating SAW 5? I don't see it happening, but I also wouldn't be surprised if it did either. HSM3 has a bigger audience with the kids so it wouldn't surprise me if it did beat SAW 5.

But let's be honest now, SAW 5 is going to be huge too and the great thing about the SAW films is that they're cheap to make. It could take the number two spot and still make its budget back regardless, you know? My prediction? I think it'll be very, very close and SAW 5 will take over the top spot.

Of course I could be wrong.

To be honest I have no idea what High School Musical even is,lol. Far as Saw V,ya I don't think they are made with a big budget,so I'm sure it will make it up and then some...I'm actually curious to know what the budgets were for each saw movie compared to their profits???

SAW 1 Budget- $1,200,000
Box Office Total- $55 million(US)/$102,917,772(WW)

SAW 2 Budget- $4,000,000
Box Office Total- $87 million(US)/$153 million(WW)

SAW 3 Budget- $12 million
Box Office Total- $80,238,724 million(US)/$150,907,724 million(WW)

SAW 4 Budget- $10,000,000 million
Box Office Total- $63,300,095 million(US)/$139,352,633 million(WW)

Believe me, SAW 5 has nothing to worry about. Those who want High School Musical to win have a natural hatred of SAW to begin with and hate that the films are successful. Now if the SAW films were made with an insane budget then I'd worry, but they're cheap to make and they make their budget back mainly on opening day and the weekend, plus DVD sales as well, so it's all good.

Are there any reviews at all for this yet?
I'm guessing not

I really don't care if HSM3 was number one. Like Last sunrise says, The Saw movies are so damn inexpensive compared to most, it'll make a huge profit this weekend alone.

hmm, though the trend looks like after Saw II its profit is becoming less, kindof disheartening. Maybe its wore off on alot of ppl,but thats okay like poster said, they are so cheaply made they will make up that cost and then some..
I think these shows u don't need a huge budget to make a good movie(s),you just need a good idea, and ppl around u who are on the same page(and a studio that don't interfere too much(fox))....
