hmm,though the trend looks like after Saw II its profit is becoming less,kindof disheartening. Maybe its wore off on alot of ppl,but thats okay like poster said,they are so cheaply made they will make up that cost and then some..
I think these shows u don't need a huge budget to make a good movie(s),you just need a good idea,and ppl around u who are on the same page(and a studio that don't interfere too much(fox))....
I don't think it's wearing off, it's just everyone knows these films are strictly October/Halloween time type of films and they see it opening weekend and so forth. If it was wearing of they would be flopping regardless and wouldn't be given sequels despite the cheap budget.
The SAW franchise is Lionsgate cash chow and they've received a ****load of money from the franchise in general. I have no idea what they're going to do when the film the sixth SAW which is the final one.
