Is MOS in the same continuity as TDK? If it is,we dont when it will take place.

Could be before Batman Begins or after Batman 3. Superman might be young,he might be old. I just dont know.

Interesting, just watched an interview with Welling from the SDCC this week where he is directly asked how he would feel about playing Superman in a film version. And despite the fact that it's been posted on this forum many times that Welling apparently once claimed he didn't want to play Superman on the big screen, it seems he is up for it. He does add that there would be a lot of things to iron out - by which I presume he means the conflicts arising from dual roles.

Not to mention that he would loose fan if he openly says that he doesn't wanna or wanted to play the role

He plays Idiots. Really well. He has this 'duh' look on his face. It's really really annoying.

No... it's easy to find one picture that makes someone look a bit Supermanly and ignore what they actually look like in real life.

Yes... I was trying... and found many...

However, when I look for good pics of him as Superman, I can find 2.

And the pics are only to illustrate what I have seen from watching video clips of him, in which he is a total meat head with a meat head expression on his face.

I dont know anything about Penikett, but thats probably the best face i've seen for Superman so far.
Now I feel stupid, its helo from BSG. Ive changed my mind.

I really don't see 'meat head' as a bad name. It's just the only way I know how to describe what i'm seeing... and why it doesn't fit as Superman.

I mean no offense whatsoever, and I have said on many occasions that we all have our pics and should respect that.

I'm just trying to explain why I have gone off Joe, when at first glance (a good pic or two) I really liked him, but after watching a few of his performances, I feel he isn't right for the job.

None of those pictures look right for Superman... in fact the first one I very nearly did quote as a bad example.

It just shows how different people's perspectives can be.

But for the record, I wanna have a guy who looks gorgeous even when he's trying to look goofy or meatheady... not someone who makes me cringe.

See what I mean about one picture making you fall in love with it, but then when you look a little harder you see how wrong they are?

P.S. I'd also have put one up of Adam Baldwin, but he is 48... a bit too far really. He does have the height, the body and the intimidating factor though.

Lol, the picture was fine yeah, but ive never saw him as superman when watching BSG. I always saw trucco or bamber as supes, even tho bamber is too short.
But still, I wouldnt call him a meathead just because I wouldnt want him as supes, but thats just me. I'm not cha daddy or boss, do what ya want.

Did you see him in ER or Behind Enemy Lines or CSI or American Heiress or True Blood?

He is big and tall, so he is perfect for the role of bully-meat head-jock but as it turns out Superman is big and tall

1) Homosexual? Really? Yes, I know that will dissuade studios but its hardly a reflection of how he would play the role. Oh, and for the record, Bomer is not openly homosexual, nor is he in the closet. He simply (and rightfully) says its no one's business.

2) Small frame?

Seems fine to me. Put on 20 pounds of muscle and it would work just fine.

3) Voice is subjective. I think his voice is just fine, so we'll have to agree to disagree.

4) It was a cheap Japanese car commercial. I'd hardly say thats a fair indicator.

you must be living in some sort of dreamland if you think WB is stupid enough to cast a gay actor who is still in the closet for their most macho american superhero.

Sorry, but the public would never live it down. Superman being played by a gay guy, as harsh as it sounds. The amount of negative publicity would kill the movie on the spot.

this is WB's tentpole production, they aren't going to risk the backlash.
And anyways, he's too small and weak looking and already failed in previous auditions.

Bomer is never going to be Superman, unless its in a prius advert and thats it.

Well all i've seen of him was in Dollhouse... and it wasn't an amazing range... but then the character didn't offer much range.
