The Official Superman Casting Thread

Not familiar with Jason Isaacs; only passing familiarity with TAS. Others at least look good for the part. I'd LOVE a big, fabulous role like this for Clancy Brown, but he seems a bit big to be Lex. I mostly think of him as the Kurgan, who is quite the opposite of Lex: a huge, rough, just about fearless barbarian who relies on his brawn and bad manners. I know Lex and Superman grapple in the comics here and there, but it's more of a mental game between the two of them.

I like spacey, but I didnt like him as Lex at all.

I was really hoping either Zane or Willis would get it when the casting rumors were first going around......oh well.

This wasnt kevins fault it was bryans and his direction. Why o why didnt he go for a serious frightening sociopathic lex?
I think Kevin is still the best actor out of all mentioned, and could bring real gravitas to the role if allowed. I just dont get it Bryan was so good with both x villians, he gave both striker and magneto so much menace and depth. Tisk Tisk!

because the whole 2.30 minutes of movie time superman and lois were death serious and i really mean death serious. its like someone of them has cancer.
but lex luthor the one that should be serious not only because this is how it is but because he wanted revenge..............he was almost like a clown.

It's called training. He can easily bulk up if needed be.

And I don't how you don't see Superman in him. He has all the features of the classic Superman face, albeit being young. He's my top choice if there's ever a reboot.

Excellent voice. With an American accent, he would have a much better Superman voice than Routh.
