Only two I can get on board with so far.

I've been through stafes with the others. I liked Joe Manganiello for a while, and then saw him in how I met your mother... god no!

I was curious about Matthew Fox, still not sure... but he'll always be Jack to me...

Hamm was okay in my mind but the more pics of him I see, the more wrinkles I find.

Considering he isn't American, he wouldn't make it far in the casting process.

It is a rumor until it is verified and confirmed by the Nolans or WB's.

IF true, as I have said before....that sounds like a stupid WB's studio mandated thing and certainly not Chris Nolans' way of thinking. I can't wait to see the alleged short list of "American only" actors being considered for Superman. I have a feeling I will laugh.

Likely an American will end up filling the role, just because more of them fit the part better. It would have nothing to do with that silly notion of exclusion.

From what I've heard, Nolan would most likely agree with Warners on this one. He's a traditionalist and knows Superman is DC's All American Boyscout.


The Warners won't confirm anything, but it will be plainly obvious once we get deeper into casting.

Even as a British girl, I couldn't support a non American actor in the role... just seems wrong in a way.

Personally I couldnt give a rats ass where the actor comes from as long as he can play a convincing SUPERMAN.

Bale is Welsh,spent most of his childhood in England then moved to America and I love his Batman...

Tom Hardy would be an awesome Bruce Wayne IMO. But that's a while away.

Skarsgard might not look that great in public, but isn't making the actors/actresses look good on screen one of the aspects of film? With a make up team to cover up the eye bags, and a dye job (he already looks perfectly fine with brown hair, I don't see a problem with dying him black) then he would be a great Superman. Strong jaw, blue eyes, wide shoulders, 6'4", imposing, and incredibly talented.

Black hair is a lot different than brown hair and won't look good against his natural yellow skin tone. You can put all the makeup in the world on him. He doesn't look like Superman.

Geez, I cringe every time I see a picture of Cavill and Bomer for SuperMAN. It's not Supermeterosexualman. ;-)

I put Fox and Caviezel ahead of Hamm for slightly older Supes.

i know this guy won't get the part and he's not a big time tv actor, but i was just watching how i met your mother, and he's one of the lead actors boyfriend. i dont know how tall he is but i think he has a pretty good look for an older superman. his name is Benjamin Koldyke.
