That doesn't look too bad. I'm still loving the new suit though, I've yet to see a manip which actually tops the design they've come up with.

I think a lot of the problem (and I'm guilty of this myself with some of my suit manips) is that we're essentially trying to add items from the old suit design - mostly the red around the crotch area, and brighter yellows. Yet Snyder and his design team obviously decided that as long they had the red cape, the blue suit and the big S on the chest, they weren't going to compromise on anything else. I love that they took that approach - it really signifies that this is a new take on Superman, not yet another reinterpretation of an existing take.

I imagine that they argued that you really only need the red cape, the blue body section and the big 'S' to make it immediately identifiable as Superman. Everything else is really extraneous. And I would tend to agree with that approach. He doesn't have red trunks any more, but he still 100% looks like Superman. Take away the 'S' or the cape, and it mightn't be as convincing. They kept the right bits and lost the right bits IMO.

Yeah, I think the suit looks best as how it looks in the film. I actually really like how it's drawn too. As for a lot of the manips going for a classic look, I think the only problem is that the colors become a little too bold/bright.
