I read all of Batman's lines in his voice lol.
Brandon Routh = David Niven (Casino Royale 1967)
Henry Cavill = Daniel Craig (Casino Royale 2006)

Hahaha. Seriously though, I just realized how striking and uncanny the Lazenby-Routh comparison is. Both were models with limited acting experience who were cast because of their likeness to the actor before them who had been the definitely portrayal of the character (Connery/Reeve). Lazenby came into EON's offices wearing a suit from Connery's tailor and a hair cut from his barber. If I recall correctly, when Routh was cast, they had him wear the Reeve supersuit and there was video of Singer having Routh's hair cut like Reeve's. Both actors' films bombed and when the role was recast again, the studio went for a fresh interpretation of the character, trying to distinguish itself from the earlier interpretation. (eg. Moore wearing double breasted suits, smoking cigars instead of cigarettes, not ordering martinis, etc.)
* Connery's return in Diamonds Are Forever represents a slight blip in the comparison and the Moore films did eventually bring back some of the Connery elements that were cast aide.
good points, but the bolded part.....Cavill said he had to do that samehe wore a Reeve supersuit in his audition and screentests

Cavill wore the old Reeve suit. Routh just wore a loose long sleeved blue t-shirt with a rubbery cape stuck on. He also wore the plasticky McG suit when he auditioned for that version... Which he described as 'crunchy'.
^ Haha, that's the one.
I will say though, I like the cape attachment and the design (though not the execution) of the S on that one.
These superhero get-togethers are all fun and games until someone gets hurt...
