Yeah we were. Which makes it all the more sweeter. It's funny, but weren't we essentially saying a couple of days ago "it would be nice if they got rid of all that crap"? lol

Thing is though, Peter could have designed the suit any way he wanted to in TASM. He could've designed it to be more in line with the suit they're using in this film but he DIDN'T. He designed it to be both visually and practically logical (while still maintaining the important Spider-Man elements of course). Even if they decide to have Pete prefer LOOKS over FUNCTION, then that's a horribly mistake.....because good design always follows FUNCTION! The logic behind the design is a more important than making it look good, because you can always tweak the design based on it's function.Maybe it's also a show of Peter's preference. What if Peter wanted a costume he liked instead of a suit?(In context opinion, of course) If I were him, I wouldn't just want a suit, I would want something I could like to wear. Batman was all about function and not fashion.

And the front spider. And the same material in the blue as TASM, and the way the red bends on the arms. It's a more "professional" version of the other suit. Like the first suit he made with what he could, and this one he actually invested in, since the whole superhero thing is taking off. A better more secure material, a little cleaner, hard boots to protect his feet ether than the bottom of shoes.
i miss the fragmented and awesome symbol already![]()
Another great and unique change, that didn't survive the transition into TASM2.
I have to say that I like the TASM2 suit more than Raimi's suit and the same as TASM's suit, at least with that comparison pic up there.
I don't like how they didn't keep the segmented gloves or the asics though. (I hope that the new boots at least have a sneaker design on the bottom instead of a flat sandle-like design)
The front spider is not nearly the same as TASM, so stop telling yourself that. It looks like the Raimi spider but with longer legs.
EDIT: nevermind, I lied. But the front spider is certainly not the same.![]()
sorry to dissapoint you...again

Saw this picture already. Can't see the bottom of the shoes. How do I know there is no sneaker design?
..He could be using different shoes? o.o
, i honestly wanted to buy those asics just because of the suit, still do
The suit is basically the Raimi suit with tweaks, I'm sure the soles are flat. As a guy bitten by a genetically engineered Spider, he doesn't really need any support for his feet. He's got super strength and thick skin.

Ellen: Was there anything under that suit? It's so skin tight it seems you would see lines of underwear or something like that. Is there anything under there? Nothing under there?
Andrew: It's just me.
Ellen: Did you feel naked?
Andrew: Yeah, It's the worst. It's made of something that is designed to make you irritated.
great visual comparison.
The new costume is definitely my favorite. My one wish is that they had kept the more vibrant colors (specifically red) from TASM suit.
