For those of you who want a closer look to the comics (while still keeping the mask Nolanized) here is my take...

I just added the top head part on MS Paint so it looks cheap, but you get the idea.

This is easily twice as better than what we actually have. Modern revision of the mask, yet relatively faithful to the core design.

Dammit.

This is epic DK7. Nicely done.

This isn't directed at anyone specifically, but I love how EVERY piece of art on here that looks bad is followed by the caption of "I did this quickly".

I've said it, you've said it, we've all said it - everyone knows it wasn't a quick job so don't even bother trying to save face. :P

We're all in the same boat.

hahaha I only say it when it's true :)

I didn't mean you - I chose a time to say it when no one had recently said it. :P

That's so true! I'm glad someone finally said it. Don't make excuses for it before you've even gotten any feedback. Hell, don't make excuses period. Just put your art out there and let the chips fall where they may. People are usually respectful here, you should get some constructive feedback even if your stuff sucks. And sometimes your stuff will suck, not everything will be a gem.

hehe well guys, I hate to say it...but these next few images were done quickly and half assed :D

Honestly though, you can see what I'm capable of if you look above at my Bane or check out my DA.

When I draw, I usually do rough sketches first, then finish them up with crisp lines and colour in photoshop. But I just don't have the time to do all these images right now.

Done in pen even...lol
Just my take on Nolanized characters, obviously this was before I saw Bane (but the mask can be changed on photoshop)

Killer Croc (can yes he would be a pail skin tone, not green)

Oswald Cobblepot (he would be an elderly mob boss, more like the image on the left, his face would be wrinkly with a hook nose)

It's rumored we'll see the Bat-Plane in the movie...anybody good with vehicles?

^i am so jealous and envious of your talent dk7, it's not even joke. Such talent, truly; and in that fast of a pace too, and as well as half the effort? Nothing can describe your work because words could never do the amazing integrity any justice. :wow: :o :woot: :hrt:

Not going to lie, this took me a while, but only because I tried a million different stances for his legs lol.

But couldn't decide if a wide spread battle stance was better or a manly strut lol

Before it gets out of hand, I just want to say I don't mean for this to be inappropriate (I understand Heath has passed and this could come across strange considering it is a zombie Joker)

But this is my idea for a Fear Toxin Joker. I know it's a cheesy cliche, and won't happen...but it would be cool to see Joker in a fear toxin state, or a nightmare, just to show that he still haunts Bruce's subconscious (BUT, it will never happen)

Actually sometimes it is true, I did a piece not too long ago in two hours. I just wanted to show the drawing as a step one, before I work on it even more because it isn't finished. The gesture only took me 15 minutes and the inking 30 minutes, the coloring took me 45 minutes and lassoing the picture. Usually a good drawing would take more than 1 or 2 days. It just depends on how good you are, take for example DarkKnight7, I've seen some of his work and I believe he can dish out some drawings pretty quickly. The gesture process or thumbnail or silhoutte can be very fast and going over the lines with a dark pencil can take a matter of twenty or twenty five minutes for me. It just depends on the skill level of a person.

Oh yeah thanks DarkKnight 7 for the arms, it was late that night and I wanted to get the line work done quickly so I wasn't really thinking about the size.

It doesn't matter if it's true or not.

I appreciate everybody who takes the time out to do artwork and is brave enough to post it.

dk7, everything you've done so far is beyond amazing. Can't see the rest finished!

No problem dude, I hope it didn't seem rude to alter your image. I like your style, I remember a while back you posted another image of Bane and it had this classic look to it (similar to the second one you posted) and some people were saying it was too skinny, but your images have this certain specific look about them that I think is interesting and unique. You really grasp the creepiness of this Bane design.

And ya, sometimes things get rushed. It's true and to say it just gives the artist peace of mind. If you haven't posted any images, then you don't know the feeling so you can't comment about that unless you do a drawing and post it. Sometimes it's true and you just have to let it out :woot::oldrazz:

hehe, thanks I was thinking instead of a "?" printed on his tie, that he could have a gold tie clip that resembles a "?", making it "much more subtle"

As for the colour design, I prefer black and olive green (instead of purple and lime green)

And maybe DiCaprio for Riddler...
