I don´t understan how people don´t want Bane to look like this? This is so Much Better and more fathful and more real. He does need something to protect his head anyway

We're not debating whether or not it is an improvement. We're simply pointing out that it is inaccurate.

His mask doesn't cover that much of his head.

okay, i've tried to interpret the mask as best i can with what's been seen... the chin is the difficult part so i just sort of improvised... i reckon there will be some sort of tubing at the mouth though as there is clearly tubing running from th back of the mask to the front.

Yeah, I don't think the chin is accurate. From what I can tell, the chin-piece is sort of a cup with holes in it. Similar to a paintball helmet.

The manips posted by TheLongestDay are pretty close to what I'm seeing.

yeah, i had this idea of lots of tubes and things but i was getting a bit frustrated with it so just went for the bottom of a gas mask... i may come back to it at a later date...

Okay, please forgive the crudity of this manip, all I have is paint and no access to photoshop right now, but here's the point I was trying to illustrate earlier.

Obvious credit goes to whoever did the original manip:

See? Fill in the mouth and nose area and the eyes and scalp area with white, fill in the rest of the mask parts with black, and you've pretty much got Bane's mask.

The spirit of Bane's mask is absolutely there.

No, no. I wasn't saying cover it all up with an outside mask.

I'm saying that the way the mask is shaped and made, that it clearly is in the spirit of Bane's mask, even though they've taken a few liberties for the movie.

Ah, my bad. I guess yeah its still there. I'm still kinda surprised they strayed so far from the source material mask though, I love that design. Im curious to see what little tweaks they make to this mask though, I doubt the finished mask/look will be identical to this as was the case with the Joker.
