Honestly, it's because both of them are mediocre at best. Go to Youtube and check out some tutorials for whatever image editing program you're using. And quit quoting them because that's just annoying.

In concept and composition it's absolutely fantastic. It really is. However, it's one flat color that makes the entire image hard to see, there's a bad filter on it, the contrast is too high, and frankly it just looks like a poor color-over in MSPaint of another artist's better idea. I'm not saying you did that, I'm comparing it to that. I believe fully well that you made it.
