How amazing do you guys think Dr. Connors transformation into Lizard will be? Personally, I think it's gonig to be amazing. I mean, just look at all the other past Villian transformations in the films.
If they do the Lizard, the transformation scene could go a lot of ways, but it would pretty much be amazing going by what's been done with the past three villains.
1. Norman Osborn's transformation into the Green Goblin was pretty scary for him not physically changing, all because of Willem Dafoe's performance.
2. Doc Ock's hospital scene is my favorite scene from all three Spideys, it's so brutal but awesome.
3. Sandman's scene where he tries to form for the first time was the best part of Spider-Man 3, for both the special effects (which you could tell they spent the most time on) and for the emotionality of it.
When the Lizard transforms, I would like to see three things:
1. Doc Conners re-growing his arm back in an amazingly beautiful (but painful) looking scene with a 360 turn-around and really epic music.
2. His transformation with the Lizard should be brutal, like an American Werewolf in London, really crunchy sounds and other nasty sound effects, and a lot of quick camera cuts and dark shadows, to counteract the "smooth" turn-around when he first grew his arm.
3. When Spidey saves him and the Lizard turns back into Conners, it should be like the Hulk-Down from the first Hulk movie, kind of slow with amazing special effects, in big-broad daylight so everyone can see it.
One of the reasons I think Raimi needs to come back is so he can do the Lizard right. A great old-school villain who's basically a D-level Sci-Fi movie monster.
