Sequels The Official The Lizard in Spider-Man 4 thread!

his transformation was cool in the SM3 game, too.
it was kinda like a horror movie.
Spidey watchs a recording of Connor's experiment in a camera, sees that something went wrong, then Connors start screaming and hits the camera.
suddenly, Lizard appears behind Spidey and attack him. I think it would be really cool in the movie, too.

BTW do you think that game-look could work on big screen?

I do think.
it's not my favorite look, but I think it's decent enough and compelling.
also...I think for the climax of the movie he could transform into the mega Lizard.

No no no... that would be too much.

That would be awesome! However, I always thought that Peter would walk in Dr. Connors office and see the whole place trapped and a widow broke.

Well I think the Lizards look is okay in the game but i would prefer the look from Spectacular Spiderman. Although i thought the way the lizard talks in the game is cool and hope is how he could talk in the movie.

Personally, I hope The Lizard can't speak in the movie, it too cutesy. Maybe at the beginning stages of his transformation, but nothing more after that. Why, because I want the human elements of his brain completely gone? I don't want him giving a damn about Martha or Billy when he's The Lizard. If he does, I just know, they're going to use this for cute moments (think the kids feeding the dinos in Jurassic Park) with Billy, and them being the reason for stopping him from killing.

I'm going to be comparing The Lizard with the Predator/Aliens creatures every step of the way, this is how I can tell if he's gonna suck ass or not, under the children code of conduct that SONY/MARVEL has these Spider-Man films under. Provided that The Lizard is the villain in SM4.

I really liked the Lizard's look in TSSM, so I wouldn't mind seeing something like that on screen.

Yeah, he needs to be a ruthless animal.

Spider-Man needs to be the one to stop him, not one look from Billy that helps Spider-Man get an opening or something like that.

I'm just hoping that The Lizard actually kills people, and not just growl or hiss at them.

doubtful
not in this movieverse, anyway
seriously injury someone, maybe, sure, but killing, no

well, thats just prediction, you never know, they could take a darker direction
I mean, Doc Ock, did get that hospital scene, I assume those people died

but, they still wouldn't show anything graghic, if anything we mgith just hear of about bodys being found or something ?

I still have time, I think I can reach the screenwriter James Vaderbilt, where I was unable to reach the previous writers. I think there's still time for him to go adult-oriented and obscure like Zodiac. But I have to get to him before Sony/Marvel/Hasbro get to him, with their damn toy designs to incorporate into the script. I will find away, I don't think I can, I know I can.
The Lizard doesn't have to kill people to be frightening.
Yes child, The Lizard must kill to be frightening. Go watch Aliens and Predator, and get back to me, and tell me that you don't want The Lizard to be that frightening. The Lizard must be no different, I am in the fight of life for the next movie--and I will be victorious!

well...let's take a look at the Spectacular Lizard (the best version, imo).
he didn't kill people, but it was just show his teeth and people were running for their lives.
he was threatening just for his appearance and ferocity.

Exactly my point, that's the type of violence that Lizard will most likely unleash in a Spidey film, but nothing beyond that.

Well, Green Goblin killed people in the first Spider-Man movie. Doc Ock, presumably killed all those people in the surgery room. Venom was shown attacking a bunch of SWAT officers, alongside Sandman. And in the Spider-Man 3 novel, Venom did kill a Taxi Driver, and let's not forget Harry. So, yes, there have been deaths in the trilogy, but they are not over the top or ultra violent. If and I say IF the Lizard does kill, it'll probably follow like the previous ones.

But to me it doesn't matter, as long as they retain Lizards ferociousness and savage rage, and the struggle between that and his humanity, thats what matters to me the most for this character. And everything Spider-Man can do and try to save his friend (Connors), and anyone who crosses his path.

Yes, I like that version of The Lizard best too, and is pretty much what I want on film. But it's a cartoon, and you and I both it has its limits, the movies should not share those limits. Although I won't be surprised, if the cartoon Lizard comes off more ferocious than The Lizard on film, now that would be a shame.

The difference between Doc Ock killing (even though he wasn't awake, didn't want to kill those doctors, and wasn't conscience of what he was doing) or a Green Goblin killing. The Lizard really is like setting a lion lose on a crowd of people, and like a lion, teeth and claws are his most used weapons.

True, but it's The Lizard who needs to be a killing machine, to make Connors' humanity a harder reach to grasp.

Yes and look at Wolverine or Jurassic Park, creatures with teeth and claws but not Saw level gory.

Also, I think I am also one of those people who are less scared about "unhuman" violence and more scared about "human violence."

Killing machine not because of nature, but as a bi-product of human nature.

To me that is 10 more creepy.

Hence why I have always viewed the Lizard as a sympathetic villain and characters like Venom as real vicious villiains.

Yeah, I have plenty of problems with both of these films, as well. Jurassic Park was another film that was too cutesy for me. And I would have prefered an R-rating on both films. I've seen enough of Wolverine talking sh:t and not backing it up with his claws.

They can't get the human violence right either, with the kid friendly crap and all. Once Connors becomes The Lizard I want the humanity in him gone.

No, Curt Connors is the sympathetic one...The Lizard isn't or shouldn't be.

The Lizard wasn't like that in the early days of the comics. Hell, he was even writing a letter to his wife and son and crying while doing it. I'm not saying that's what will be in the film, but I'm just reminding you of how Stan Lee's original version was.

I really...really...really hope they don't make Lizard like this.
they like to give humanity for the villains in the Spidey movies.
I hope that with Lizard...it'll be different. he must have no humanity at all.

He probably won't have any humanity. I expect him to be sort of like how he was in the Spidey3 game or in TSSM show.

Seriously dude, I love horror and Rated R movies. But you are starting to sound like a repressed serial killer.

Vis Formula: Blood Everwere + Rape + Characters Swearing Every 5 Seconds = Mature Movie

Its getting very creepy and you are sounding like a broken record, thus putting me to sleep.

IMO, putting an R-Rating on Jurassic Park, Spider-Man and those types of movies is the SAME THING as kiddyfying the Punisher, Natural Born Killers, ect.

Rated R and these movies are not PB&J, They are PB&Sardines. Few derange people like them, but its a total miss match of what should be appropriate to the story, characters and medium.

Seriously dude, you remind me of these people:
