You know, as I have said before...I am not a HUGE Harry Potter fan at all...IMHO he is just not that great, but you know...I saw the new trailer for OoTP...and I am impressed...very much.

Might even actually make my way to the theater to see it in July, especially if it has TDK teaser trailer with it...

Might even actually make my way to the theater to see it in July, especially if it has TDK teaser trailer with it...

I agree with Gonking, we won't see TDK teaser trailer attached to prints of OOTP. Nolan is still shooting 2nd unit stuff (and the fire will inevitably delay it for a bit) and it'll be well into the summer before they start principal photography in London. Unless they manage to get some good scenes shot in like June or something, I highly doubt they'll have enough footage prepped for the teaser.

I can see the WB putting the TDK teaser on the OOTP DVD when it comes out in December, but not theatrically.

Ok, well as it seems to be quiet on the HP front lately. The new book isn't far away, so what are people's predictions? Will Harry live or die? Will Harry return to Hogwarts? What are the remaining Horcuxes? etc etc etc

I read a theory awhile back that Harry might be one of the horcruxes, which would require self-destruction on his part in order to take down Voldemort.

I'm guessing there will be some back to Hogwarts stuff but it will get cut short by Death Eater rampages or something like, and there will be a demand that students return to their families so the families can go into hiding, which would probably suit Harry fine since he has that whole quest for the horcruxes thing, assuming he doesn't just blow off Hogwarts to begin with. Just a guess.

There'll probably be a few scenes with Harry talking to the Dumbledore portrait.

JK Rowling said fans would see "impressive stuff" from Ginny again, so at some point, whether Harry likes it or not, she'll get involved in the quest against Voldemort. This might require KO-ing Hermione and/or Ron at some point in the storyline.



There probably won't be a Dark Knight teaser until Thanksgiving/Christmas time, when Warners will desperately want to put something out to entice Holiday-goers.

I doubt so as I have no idea why WB wouldn't attach TDK teaser-trailer to their most successful franchises nowadays. Besides, I can see it's trailer attached to I Am Legend.

As much as I miss the old Dumbledore...Richard was really really old and just sat there most of the time. The new Dumbledore can actually run and jump out of the way, etc...etc...etc... It's not as bad as the Matrix Reloaded Oracle thing...that was dumb. "I had to change form but I choose to change into a form that looked almost identical to the former to avoid detection"...LAME.

For ages and ages and ges, I thought Harry was going to die at the end of the book. But now, I am not so sure. Now that it's getting closer to the release and I have been reading various pieces on predictions for Deathly Hallows, I do think he will live. If he does live, then Harry as a Horcrux wouldn't happen. If it does happen then I wouldn't be bothered. Harry dying has never been a concern for me as it is for others. The appeal of the books isn't Harry himself for me.

I would love to see a Dementor attack on Hogwarts. I think it would be very dramatic if Jo did that. To see all these characters that we have read for the past 10 years, for anyone of them to be up for the chop would make for some compelling reading.

They have an entire scene related to the Joker shot - truthfully I think that is all the new footage you need for a teaser. Mix in the last scene from Batman Begins with bits of that scene and your good.

Ok, well as it seems to be quiet on the HP front lately.

Well, there's a bit of news regarding the OOTP movie, score-wise. SibeliusMusic reports that Alastair King recently completed work on Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix, in which he was the principal orchestrator and conductor for the score (which was composed by newcomer Nicholas Hooper).

SoundtrackNet is working on securing pics and video of the scoring sessions either later on this week or next week. If they secure video, we could get a hint of what the score will sound like. I would also like to see an interview with Hooper to see how he approached doing the score for the film and how many of John Williams's themes he retained.

Everyone looks horribly Photoshopped in that Swedish poster -- only Ron looks like himself. If they use that for R1 DVD release, I will seriously throw a fit.

Aside from the horrible airbrushing, the design and layout of the poster is really good. It's just that nobody looks like themselves that kills it.
