well the only instance coming to mind is right after Harry gets expelled and he's in his room. I first noticed it in GOF though from Emma after the first Death Eater attack on the QWC. They're done at appropriate times (scared, angry, running) but they drag it on too long and make it so audible.

Saw the film on Friday. Sheer class, my favourite yet. I'm really glad Yates is back for HBP.

The third is brilliant, shot for shot like my personal interpretation of the book. The fights between the Death Eaters and the OotP rocks, and Dumbledore/Voldemort was epic.

Top Notch.

BTW was I the only one wh oloved Helena Bonham Carter as Bella. She was having so much dang fun in that role and was just so nasty and enjoyable to watch.

I loved her as Bella too. She is flat out crazy but she devoute in her service to Voldermort so I can see why he would love her. If she has to do anything nasty to you she will do it in a heartbeat and I got that impresssion just from the bit of screentime she had.

what about dan and emma's heavy breathing dammit!:cmad:

Hmmm? I missed that.

From IMDb:-

Warner Bros. Pictures' Harry Potter and the Order of the Phoenix is likely to leave its competition in ashes over the weekend, box-office analysts are predicting. No other studio is daring to open any other new movie against it, except for the R-rated Captivity, a horror flick that has been reviled by those who have seen it. Reporting on this weekend's competition, the Hollywood Reporter observed, "The only question surrounding Phoenix, as it was with last weekend's chart-topper, Transformers, is how big it will be." On Thursday, the movie added an additional $18.37 million to its gross, bringing it to $62.60 million. The movie is performing especially well in IMAX theaters, where the final reel of the movie has been converted to 3-D. On Wednesday, IMAX screenings accounted for $1.9 million of the $44.2 million total on that day -- making it the biggest IMAX opening on record.

Speaking of which, JK was on a british tv show the other day and so was Bob Hoskins. He asked her why they've never put him in any of the films and JK said that there's a part in the next film that would be perfect for him. I'm pretty sure she meant Slughorn, a role he would be excellent in.

I can see that. That casting would be so perfect its not even funny.

Completely agree. It's the most disappointing thing about the entire film. Dumbledore doesn't really explain anything to him as the scene lasts a total of 30 seconds. *sigh* again, I can only hope for more in the extended release. Oh and not explaining anything about P.I. was also a stupid move in GoF. I hate when they do that.

I can see why they left it out. Sure, it is confusing as hell to anyone who hasn't read the book...but it isn't the most important thing on Earth. The prophecy on the other hand...it is literally the focal point of the entire plot. It is why Harry is having dreams. It is why he is led to the Ministry. It is why he must fight Voldemort. It is why Dumbledore pretty much ignores him. Its just so odd to cut that.

I was taken aback in the final scene when I stopped and went "Brendan Gleeson, Gary Oldman, Jason Issacs, Helena Bonham Carter, David Thewlis (who did not get enough to do, I love Lupin), and Ralph Finnes and Michal Gambon to come ALL in one scene....how the **** do they keep getting these amazing casts."

You're not the only one. HBC was just superb, you can really see her insanity and intense devotion to Voldemort in the few lines she has. It was no mere coincidence Helen McCrory got replaced by HBC because, obviously, HBC is the ultimate Bellatrix. No one can do it better than her.

I was having a WTF moment when they were riding them. But it looked cool and was glosssed over quick enough it really didn't matter.

I just wish that Sirius's death was better. He is easily the best character in the movie and Oldman was having a lot of fun with it. I think his death could have been done with more of him falling to the ground in non-slow mo after looking at Harry instead of floating away. I know it isn't as accurate but seeing him hit the floor as a lifeless carcass would have just felt more final and while still anti-climatic (as it is in the book) it would feel more "war-ish horrific."

Really impressive.

You are so damn right about the cast. This is one of the best casts a franchise has ever had. ever.

I always pictured Bellatrix to look like Helena Bonham Carter, so when she was cast it was just perfect in my opinion.

I can't believe how much they cut down David Thewlis in this movie! The one scene that really made me go wtf? was when they picked up Harry. A whole bunch of wizards he's never met suddenly show up at his house and Harry is stupid enough to go with them? I don't understand why Voldemort is having such a hard time killing Harry, because he's apparently really easy to get to, and he just goes with whoever shows up at his house and tries to take him away. I think Lupin really should have been there so they could have had a security question like in the book and Harry doesn't look like such an idiot going off with random people.

anyway, they can explain it better in the next movie. that can be fixed. But, on the other hand, Lily in Snape's remember....

Considering that in the GOF movie , Prof. Moody was featured prominently i'd say Harry wouldn't be that dumb to go with a bunch of strange wizards.
Moody was with them so it wasn't like Harry just went with strange people who he never met.

Hmmm? I missed that.

I didn't notice Emma breathing Hard but Harry def. was doing that in 3 scenes.

When he sees clouds changing at the beginning. This is before Harry and Dudley run into that small corridor.

When Siriius is showing his family tree to Harry , Harry does the heavy breating

And lasttly when he has the dream about Ron's father and goes to DUmbledore he's constantly breathing heavily.

About Gambon's Dumbledore...I have always preferred Richard Harris's overall. But I did appreciate GAmbon's in the last two. He didn't have much to do in POA so that was fine. In GOF some say he was too mean and in some respects he was, but it was an interesting take.

But now in this one I see why they went with him. His tough love approach to Harry in this one and how he stood up to the Ministry and "confessed." But most importantly it was his showdown with Voldormort at the end. As much as I love Harris's take, his version nor he would have had the energy or firm grit that Gambon brought to that scene and brings to the character.

I appreciate it much more now.

Nope, no Firenze teaching. Which actually leaves us with a plot hole because Trelawney is fired so who's teaching divination...lol

One wtf moment in the movie is when Sirius is in the trainstation wearing a bathrobe.
It was actually a large fur coat and there was a coat stand with hangers in the room. So I guess he got lucky and found something to put over his naked body.

in the sixth book she only appears at the beginning.
I know but it is key in the audience ousting of Serverus while she is with Narcissa. Rowling said Bella would be a big part of the 7th book and she will have more lines in HBP than she did in OOTP.

But why would he be naked? When McGonagall transfigured in Philosopher's Stone, she was wearing clothes. And even after 12 years hiding as a rat, Wormtail transfigured back to human and was wearing clothes. If Sirius was naked it's because he went out and transfigured with no clothes on from the beginning...sick dog!

I'm excited for the HBP film already:woot:

But now....the book:woot::woot::woot:

I could be wrong but wasn't LaStrange part of the invation of Hogwarts in the end of Book Six?

Yes.

Transformers
Domestic: $222,990,000 69.6%
+ Foreign: $97,207,996 30.4%
= Worldwide: $320,197,996

HP5
Domestic: $140,017,000 42.4%
+ Foreign: $190,300,000 57.6%
= Worldwide: $330,317,000

well by that the balance each other out almost. its only a 10,000,000 dollar difference. But OOTP got their faster.

Having yet to see it due to time restraints, can someone answer something that is really bothering me? Why is Voldemort in the train station in a suit and tie?

I think that entire scene could have been cut and used for something else.
