Tom looks pretty young there, so I'm gonna take a stab and say 2001/02. Maybe James knows for certain? I have no clue what's on Spacey's tie. Funny how they were together though - and had their picture taken no less. As I said, priceless, just priceless.rumpuso said:Was that last year's Golden Globes Pat? And who's picture does Spacey have on his shirt (Tom for Supes? j/k)
Yeah! He would have looked wicked ridiculous wearing a Batman logo under his tux at the Ocean's Twelve preem...Pickle-El said:ah yes, back in the days when Tom dressed decently.![]()

Here's the link to Ebert's review of Superman, dated December 15, 1978.Serene said:I can't even imagine where you found that, but I'm glad you posted it. I keep hearing people compare Routh's casting to Reeve's by saying that when Reeve was cast there were also a lot of unhappy people. I've always been a bit of a movie buff.. even back then, maybe even more back then, and I don't remember hearing of any controversy. Granted, there was no internet, but there were movie magazines.. and my mother subscribed to them all. All I remember is going to see the first Superman film in the theater as a teen and being enthralled by this perfect Superman from the first scene to the last.

Lara said:You know Tom could have easily gone from Judging Amy to being cast in the Superman movie and no one would have batted an eye. I love how people pull up obscure modeling photos to act like he had a makeover. Ugh. it will be interesting to hear the reviews of Routh from the general public and critics. I think I'm looking much more foreward to that than the movie itself.

She probably threatened to walk if they didn't.![]()

6'4"? Eh? I *thought* he was 6'3"?![]()
Are they just being nitwits again, or is he really 6'4"? (It wouldn't surprise me to learn that he is.)
Heh. Anyway, bet this will fan a few more fires on various I-Net message *cough*Superman*cough* boards across the Net. LOL (As if they needed any more fuel.)![]()

Yes, I've noticed this too. We'd have to assume Schneider's stats are correct to get an over 6'3" height though.triplet said:I thought that he was at least 6'4" - despite what IMDB used to say - because John Schneider's IMDB profile claims he's 6'3" and I thought Tom looked to be at least an inch taller than John...
Funny, wasn't there another Superman that was 6'4"?
And a more recent one that isn't?
