Sequels The Official X-Men 4 Thread

Even with throwing out The Last Stand this will not be the Bryan Singer version of
Dark Phoenix.X4 and 5 will probally be the Days of Future past storyline.

The only way Famke Jansen can return Is IF SInster Is villian and Singer would have her
as Madalane Pryor.But even that Is a slim chance since I am betting SInster to be used
for a First Class sequel and not X4 and 5.Although I could be wrong.

EMMA FROST (played by Sigourney Weaver)

Why would you cast a 65 year old brunette Emma Frost? Im just curious on what about her says Emma besides being able to play a *****y character. I personally hated when I heard Singer wanted her, and I like most of his X casting.

what about Hellen Mirren?

she could be the old version of the Emma of First Class, since Emma and Charles have the same age, more or less.

Emma should never be portrayed older then a 45 year old woman. Just my opinion. No grandma frost.

Grandpa Magneto worked, why not granny Frost lol .. I'd rather have Sigourney Weaver over some talentless younger actress. I'm still skeptical about January Jones' acting ..

Sigourney Weaver would be decend choice to play an older Emma Frost.I can see sceniro
where older Emma Frost gathers a new brotherhood In X4 and 5.

I have never liked the Idea of a good Emma.Part of It as an old school X-Men fan I want
Cyclops with Jean Grey.

We are getting the young hot Emma In First Class trilogy(I will be wiating to see how good an actress January Jones Is.I have only seen her In American Wedding and In small
role In another comedy) so If he wanted to go with Sigourney why not? She IS three
time oscar nominee,she payed the way for female action heroes,and has been called by
some one of hottest 60ish women In films.

Wasnt thrashing his choice or anything. Ive seen her mentioned a few times and dont get why.

I find Emma far more interesting as an X-Men then a pure villain, and also more interesting then Jean Grey. Jean Grey without Phoenix doesnt really have much going on for me. Already had her trilogy. Time to move on. Emma has played such a big hand not only as an X Men but as a part of the Marvel Universe in the past 10 years, I would be very disappointed if their only intentions are for her to be Female Magneto recruiting bad guys.

Weaver as Frost in X-Men 3 would have been fantastic. Casting an It-girl as someone capable of manipulating Janssen or Stewart wouldn't have cut it... but that was 8 years ago. As much as I hate to say it, by the the time a potential X-Men 4 goes into production, Weaver may be too old. Even if they cast someone younger, I'm not exactly sure what fans are expecting in terms of Frost's involvement in relation to her current comic book status.

Doesnt need to be an It-girl or Weaver. There are plenty of talented good looking actresses. When reading an X comic with Frost I never thought once Weaver should play her. But I guess Im alone on that one. To each their own.

I wanna different take on this franchise not a redo of the previous movie team and storylines. Having a manipulative ***** for a lead X men can be interesting. I may be the minority but I like what Morrison did what the character and hope to see that influence more in the movies besides just including her diamond form.

I don't think a lot of people thought of Weaver as Frost, but she would have been a good choice for an older take on the character. As for Morrison's run, I don't know how much is even viable for X-Men 4 beyond Frost joining the X-Men. I think a lot of the fun of Morrison's run, regarding Frost, is the relationship she shares with Cyclops, which would have to be reworked for the movies. Other than that, I wouldn't mind seeing Emma evolve into more of a leader or teacher, whether that be through the X-Men, her own school, or by other means.

If you want older Emma, go for Natasha Henstridge.

EDIT: Although, lol, she's only 4 years older than January Jones...

Haha. Maybe Jones' Frost just stays in diamond form for 40 years and doesn't age.

Yeah I have no idea how her characters gonna work age wise after FC.

So we are getting X4, X5 plus 2 FC sequels? Or is FC2 X4? Continuity is already screwed haha. Seriously, hows this gonna work?

Because if they don't screw continuity, in an X4 Emma will be older like Magneto or Xavier because in FC is a young girl. Or they wanna explain also Emma is a Wolverine-alike who's still younger after 50 years?

Well XFC turned to be a box-office disaster. Just expect X4 and X5.

I think Emma Frost might going to have the same situation with WWII Captain America. Its crazy but who knows

Singer wanted Emma Frost to be an ex-lover of Xavier in his version of X3

Sigourney Weaver as Emma Frost would have been FANTASTIC! I'm still bummed we missed out on that.

I guess she could still easily appear in X4 or X5 as just an older version around the same age as Magneto or Prof. X. Maybe in a future X-sequel she could end up taking over the school while Prof. X is away.

James Marsden again say would love to come back for a fourth one, comments on his "death" on X-Men: TLS and...Explained what us fans knows since 2000:

Yeah, I would love to! Honestly, people ask me more about that than anything and it’s almost embarrassing how little I know about what’s going on with X-Men: First Class. But I guess it’s obviously a prequel and it takes place before our movies, so I’m excited to see it, and I’m excited they’re making it. I think they’re smart, they know they can make X-Men movies as long as they want. There are plenty of characters and plenty of backstories, so I’m happy that they’re continuing the mythology. And I’m happy to have been a part of it at some point. But it would be great to get Hugh [Jackman] and Famke [Janssen] and Patrick [Stewart] and Ian [McKellan] and Halle [Berry] and everybody back together again to do another installment, our next chapter.

Well, the thing is I appreciate all the fans that have said that he didn’t get his due, or whatever. But for me it’s very difficult to look back on that experience with any sort of disappointment or regret. I feel really lucky to have been in those movies and feel very proud of what I do in those movies; it’s difficult when you have however many — 12, 15 — new characters that you’re trying to introduce to an audience in 90 to 120 minutes, to give everyone their due. That’s one of the reasons you’re seeing so many spin-offs, because every character could have a spin-off. You could have a Cyclops spin-off, you could have a Jean Grey spin-off — there’s an enormous wealth of backstory and character that you could make a franchise out of each of these characters.

So in our X-Men they were always written from Wolverine’s standpoint. He was the lead protagonist. But that could have easily been Storm’s, or Beast’s — it just so happens that the ones I was a part of were very much focused on Wolverine, who was a very popular character in the comics. But I think there’s a lot more story to Cyclops, there’s a lot more depth that exists in the comics. But again, I’m also really realistic about the challenge of introducing and bringing all that depth to however many characters there are within the average running time of a movie.

The original cast is starting to talk about the future of the franchise....

I love it!

It does seem like we've been hearing a lot about it recently, doesn't it? I'm feeling far better about this now than I was, say, two years ago. Go X4!

yes, its like X4 is becoming a reality day after day.

I love this feeling.

Taking into account the x-men introduced to date...

which relationships would you like to see developted in X4?

My two cents:

- Colossus falls in love with Kitty;
- Kitty discover a "strange animal similar to a little dragon" who she calls Lockhead;
- Cyclops' not dead. He's in a sort of coma, an old Emma Frost saves him;
- Storm is the leader of the Xavier's Institute;
- Rogue has leave the school;

Then:

- Cyclops come back to school (surprise for anyone, jokes about his gravestone, sad about Jean's and Xavier's death);
- Emma became the new leader of the school;
- New X-Men's team: Cyclops as a leader, Wolverine, Iceman, Angel, Kitty, Colossus and Jubilee!

- Trask creates the Sentinels because he had begins to hate mutants;
- Beast try to persuade him to not released the Sentinels;

Sentinels attack mutants to random, the X-Men try to save them. In a scene it's good to see Rogue to his home, calm and without her powers (apparently) and then a Sentinel try to kill her. She runs away then he starts to fly (a joke like this: "i have again the power! Now i also can fly...").

Maybe a good story sounds like this:
- The X-Men try to save the mutants, fight Sentinels and try to "fight" Trask;
- Storm, Emma and Nightcrawler (who he's come back to school) take to a safe place (?) the kiddie mutants.

Forget about Xavier's new body. F-O-R-G-E-T. Forget about X3's Moira.

In the end we can see Wolverine going to remember his past (again, like in the first two GOOD movies) and Magneto trying to create a New Brotherhood.

After credits:
Mystique, with the comics' costume, with guns, wants kill Magneto. Good.

I like a lot of your ideas. Not sure how I want Cyclops to return, but it's a must. Just say he never died in the first place and we don't have to worry about any resurrection nonsense.

As much as I love Ian McKellen and Magneto, I'd rather he just not come back, unless maybe he's assassinated by a Sentinel in the beginning. Best to focus on the new villains: the Sentinels! :)

Or we can have some mutant introduced who can make Magneto and Prof X. young then we could have Fassebender and McAvoy play Magneto and Prof X. They could also do the same thing with Frost
