Days of Future Past The official X-men First Class BD/DVD thread

I only just recently bought a Bluray player cheap for $98.99 at Target but like others have said, I'm only upgrading to BR on movies I absolutely watch over and over.

And how is it that DVD's can't hold up much space? I bought years ago the T2 Ultimate Edition which was a dual layered disc and that thing had so much behind the scenes crammed into it.

At the moment I'm buying the combo DVD/BR discs because I'll need to watch a movie on DVD if I'm traveling on my portable DVD player.

I wanna see storyboards or animated storyboards for the axed Emma and Charles fight .. like the one for X3's extended Danger Room sequence..

HMV has an exclusive complete boxset on DVD/Blu Ray.

I suspect the US equivilent is Best Buy, so they might have it too.

Thanks :yay::up: I'll need to check out HMV

I doubt it...we didn't get the Quadrilogy set, I got it from amazon.uk though...

...and thank for the link Veidt :woot::up: got the set pre-ordered...

It's a very groovy mutation. HA.
Love it.

I might just skip this clip altogether when I get the bluray.

Just the description alone has left a bad taste in my mouth.

the way the scene played out in the movie... this probably wouldn't of worked... it would of made the scene to drawn out, and would kind of take you out of the moment...
although, the idea of Charles showing off his powers a little more would of been neat, an he seemed to of connected with her better by making her laugh, an feel more comfortable about showing off her powers...
I almost want to say that if they just went with his trick, and not both, the scene might of worked....if anything, it would of been good for a laugh, but, ultimately I am glade they cut it
(tho, I don't know rather to feel bad for Michael or not, having to of crossdresssed for nothing, since it was cut out... or if it would of been worst for him if it was left it)

A little humour in that mutant recruitment sequence wouldn't hurt... but I guess it would show that Prof X has a thought projection power that he never uses in the rest of the film (oh wait he did)

Not that kind of humor.

Funny scene but glad they kept it out of the movie.

Unfortunately, Vaughn wasn't too focused on the other main character - Charles Xavier - otherwise he wouldn't cut so many of his potentially interesting scenes when using his powers. I really can't forgive Vaughn for lefting out what would have been the greatest Xavier action scene in the film, his telepathic fight with Emma.

But having said this, and although I think that it would have been great to have Charles showing his powers while recruiting, I don't think that particular moment - Dragneto - wouid have worked within the context of FC. It's a funny scene on its own and I'm glad it's included on the DVD, but it would have looked too out of place in the film. I still wish Charles had showed his power to Angel, though. Maybe he could have showed her another one of the go-go dancers, instead of a Dragneto?

Plus, Fassbender makes for an ugly woman! :woot:

Well... I don't see how it would be out of place... that recruiting sequence was quite lighthearted, and the appearance of you-know-who is supposed to be funny anyway

I really cant wait for this blu ray!! Love this film and from the looks of the Japanese trailer the behind the scenes stuff is quality.
