I like the suggestion of Michael Trucco. He looks like he could be a great Superman, and a more mature one too.

Zane is kind of washed up... He was actually in an Iranian propoganda film not long ago. :o

Anyway, I am kind of tired of this notion that Luthor has to be visably older / more mature than Superman. I prefer the idea of the two of them being more like contemporaries, because that helps sell the idea that they are archrivals better, IMO. They are on a level playing field, but their tools are opposites -- brains and scheming vs. brawn and morality.

I don't kow who'd I cast for Superman b/c right now I haven't gotten use to the idea of Routh not playing the role, but here are some others...

Lois Lane: Rachel McAdams

Lex Luthor: Daniel Day Lewis

Jimmy Olsen: Haley Joel Osmond

Perry White: Albert Finney

I really like McAdams as an actress, but I actually think she looks too much like Kate Bosworth to play Lois. Too many bad memories.

Daniel Day Lewis can't be Lex. He's so method that he'd end up actually trying to take over the world.

That'd be funny if it were not true.
Oh heck, it's still funny.:woot:

Anywho, *IF* Lex is in it, and most likely he will be, the casting for him will be just as important as Superman's. Quite the job for someone there.

That is hilarious, but Metropolisman and I, REALLY like him as Lex. You could say we would want to base Lex off him...

Uhhng... Zane as Lex...

My friend has been going on and on about how great that would be for years now. I talk to him once a month and that always comes up, followed by a five minute Doomsday fight scene described in unnecessary detail compete with sound effects. Every. Time. He's only 25, but I think he has Alzheimer's or something.

As much I would love to see him in the role, I don't believe he would sign up for something so commercial. :csad:

So far the only choice that i liked is Michael Trucco, the rest are way to pretty boys to play superman. If the movie was called superboy maybe they could pull it of. I Would like superman to look like this:

If they can find a guy that looks like this would be excellent, also Adam Baldwin would be a great choice but he is almost 50 unfortunatley

It's no wonder you don't like any of the casting choices, from the look of things you want an old ass Superman. :funny:

JAJA no not an old ass superman, but someone who looked liked that but younger, with a real jaw and build. I think that daniel day lewis actually would have made a great superman if he worked out and was younger. I just don't want to see boy looking superman, and please for the love of God dont suggest tom welling

I want a well seasoned actor to play Superman, someone who is strong in their acting abilities. Someone as good as Johnny Depp but looks like Superman.

Oh man I'm so excited, it's fun to talk about Superman again!!! :D :supes:
