The interview wasn't even good but I now have a frame of reference.

Like how Nolan was wearing his "HEAT" googles during TDK.

Until I know what the suit is for, then I can't really say anything. IF THAT is the actual look of their suit, as in with the lighting, with cgi, etc.??? then I won't be happy with that...if it is just from a scene of them using it for something more specific, then I will need to know more spectifics.

I reckon it's his first costume. Like these

And he'll get a more classic one later in the movie

New superhero film, CyclopsWasRight Rises. Good to have you back, sir. Loved the banter.

FINALLY !! SOMETHING !!

I really liked this (lenghty!) interview. I love that it gives us a lot of insight into Trank's intentions and influences... without giving away the plot of the movie. The guy seems confident and passionnate about his direction and even though it could be BS, it looks like FOX has been pretty supportive during the process.

I think that Trank trying to do something really different is OK, as long as the core elements of the source material are still there (especially the family dynamic). And to me, it looks like it's going to be the case.

Oh and the suit doesn't look bad on MJB. However it looks weird as Fantastic Four suit. Maybe because it's not blue, I don't know ! But given Trank's comments about secrecy and everything, it has to be a BETA version (in the context of the movie, if you know what I mean!) and not the final and definitive suit.

Anyway, I remain positive and cannot wait for the Teaser Trailer and more other REAL things to come out.

Good read with that interview. David Cronenberg influences, Philip Glass scoring, and that cast? Suddenly I am anticipating this trailer.

Trank and Kinberg suggest the running time is over 2 hours - that's an improvement over Fox's attempt to bring the Story movies down under 90 minutes for 'more theater showings'.

Geez Fox and their shoestring budgets....Philip Glass...they couldn't do better than that basement level composer?

This must be the containment suit. In my mind I pictured a biohazard type get up, rather than something meant to literally contain the fire/various power from becoming out of control.
I'm interested in the tone of this film for sure and glad to hear something.

I'm very happy to hear Trank has spoken his mind and given his reasons for secrecy, he wants the movie to be a surprise to people and not give anything away and thats totally fine and cool. However, it's still kind of strange how the STUDIO kept mum about everything including the official cast. I still definitely believe there was some drama behind the scenes but perhaps it wasn't nearly as extreme as we all were led to believe.

At least it's somebody other than Zimmer :funny:

Yeah when I heard containment suit I pictured a hazmat suit or bulky spacesuit like costume.

I like that this is like the classic costumes (colour aside) but with various apparatus unique to regulate the powers of each member.

This is likely for the period when they're using them to learn to control their new abilities but won't be needed in the long run

Can you show me "which" of those classic costumes you are speaking of....cause though I don't really have an opinion yet of what I'm seeing in that picture..."classic costumes" is no where near the vibe I'm getting.

Yeah say what you want about the suit, it does not remotely resemble anything we've seen in any incarnation of the FF.

'Like' the classic in that it's a Skin tight bodysuit. As opposed to a bulky or baggy radiation type containment suit

The costume is meh so I'm in a wait and see mode. i did like what Trank said about paint strokes though, that is so true.

I am so ready for it.With both interview and trailer discussion on film may change.

I am too, I'm really into sci-fi and I have been dying for a superhero movie to go hard scifi.

I wonder why we didn't get to see(no pun) the Invisible Woman in description yet. Even the leaked BTS showed Johnny, Thing, Doom, and the sketches showed Reed.

I love the idea that the suits have meaning and are different with each powers the four has.

Trank's definitely got a good head on his shoulders (and good of Kinberg to tell him to ignore the internet and let the art speak for itself) judging from the interview. I respect, understand and even admire the secrecy as long as what they're keeping hidden will be good when it is revealed and judging by this interview, they seem to have a lot of good faith in the entire project.

And Philip Glass composing for a superhero movie? Man, oh man! That's crazy legit and that's something that definitely wouldn't have happened if Trank weren't heading this entire ship. That's some juicy info that should've leaked but this could be a really unique superhero experience.

And as much as people give Fox flack, they're clearly learning from Marvel/Disney about the necessity to pump out quality films (though they may deviate from the source material) and have taken the necessary steps to ensure it in their own way be it adhering the source material more or giving filmmakers more creative freedom etc.

Trank went a looooong way towards improving the image of this film to me and with a strong trailer it could get even better.
