I'm looking forward to Kebbell. He was amazing in Dawn of The Planet of The Apes. One of the best villain portrayals of the 21st century IMO

I'm actually looking forward to the entire thing (not so much as an "oh goody, I'm gonna love this thing") and....not so much as a fan of the actors, because I honestly know little about any of them except for Mara on "House of Cards".

I feel bad for the 616 fans at this point, but I would not be truthful if I wasn't intrigued about how all of this is going to come together.

I'm just kind of looking at it as..... Am I going to be watching a great fireworks show, or a major train wreck. Both would hold my attention...lol

I'd just hope that when we all see it that we base our opinions of the movie on what it is rather than what it isn't.

I don't think long time fans can necessarily do that...we are talking for some on here, over FORTY YEARS of fandom. Yes, they may very well come out of the movie saying. Yeah, that was a fun movie, but I'm still waiting for a 616 adaptation. And they, in my opinion, will be perfectly fine in thinking that way.

Are you going to have those that come back on here and dog the hell out of it to make themselves look right? Sure, I could probably name a couple right now that will do that....but I'm not going to equate them with all others that find the movie lacking in Fantastic Four....

I think that's fair. As I said I like the Singer's X-films but I'd like a more accurate (for lack of a better word) version one day.

Let Doom be Doom, and Willie will be jumping through the computer screen, along with Goblin...

:funny: One thing that has been frustrating about nearly every Comic Book film - including Guardians of the Galaxy - is we have yet to see a villain that has offered a good combination of logical motive/plan and an intimidating, threatening presence. Doom done right could make FF the first film to feature such a villain.

I had to explain to a few people what Thanos is up to & why he wants the gems & how that leads to The Avengers 3 :jedi Guardians would have been perfect for Thanos himself to explain it

Yeah, there were a lot of interesting things going on there and some REALLY cool possibilities for where things are going for us geeks, but as it was presented, Ronan the Accuser just seemed to be some vague flunky with unexplained goals.

I guess that's a relatively small nit to pick with an otherwise great movie, but with just a few tweaks, it could have offered the whole package.

Hey, I've been reading the posts of you guys for 10 years now....I know what you guys want in this movie, and I know what you guys will be ok with in this movie....

Doom won't make the movie exactly what you want....but it would go a long way in making you guys VERY OK with the movie...lol

If you do see this in the theatres, make sure you buy a ticket to Pixar's Inside Out so the money goes to Disney :cwink:

I'm really getting tired of this kind of posting. If you have something to add to the conversation other than little quips like this, fine...post them. If you don't then you have made your point LOUD AND CLEAR, you aren't seeing the movie and you want it to fail, so there is really no need for you to hang around.

Yeah absolutely agreed.

I sort of hope this Doom is more related to the Ultimate Doom with goat legs and everything.

They really should've debuted at least a logo at SDCC

Yeah they could have debuted a working logo if they haven't choose one for like the final posters and trailer.

Anyway, thanks to Kate Mara for uploading the 1st picture of the cast (that will portray the Fantastic 4) together and now I'm using it as my avatar.:woot:

In new interview Michael Jordon says there are things from Original human torch In his portayl. While some will point out That Josh Trank wanted him from minute he signed to do reboot. It backs up SImon Kinberg's comments that this film draws from entire history of FF.

Kebbell was brilliant in Apes 2 and he is the actor I am looking forward the most,I hope the script and costume department allow him to do Doom justice.

One of the things I liked from Fox's previously released FF movies is they came up with costumes that are similar to the comics, way better than the costumes for their X-Men movies. I'm interested to see the costumes they made for this reboot.

Ultimate Doctor Doom would make for a great costume, but cost slight cgi maybe with the legs.

Yeah,it's the only proof we have that all four actors were in the same place at the same time.:hehe:

I think I've seen one person ANYWHERE...that wants the goat legs.:o

I think the chances of Goat legs are like 5%

Same

As ridiculous as the goat legs are, if you gave me these two choices:

A. Doom is transformed by the accident and his skin turns into 'organic armor'.

or

B. Doom is disfigured by the accident and he builds armor to cover his scarred face and ridiculous goat legs. That armor serves to not only mask his disfigurement but gives him the ability to constantly augment his abilities and, therefore, have nearly limitless capabilities.

I'd take B (though I'd much rather prefer a more traditional origin).

As bad as the goat legs were, there were a lot of other elements of the UFF Doom that bothered me more.

The goat legs are awesome and bring the satanic element, Ultimate Doom was also from transylvania, so you can guess who's his great great great great grand father. :b
