Yeah, I'd rather see this than a big escape battle. Have Prez Zartan "transfer" them or something, and an angry Duke just has to stand there while they giggle at him on their way out the door.

Be cool to see Snake unaware of their release jump down and take out his sword to CC's face and Hawk tells them they are being released. Snake reluctantly puts down the sword and watches them go.

Yeah, and while they're gone, it would be a good opportunity for remaining Cobra to start up and you can add more characters that way. But not too many.

I think one Joe should be added. Maybe two Cobra. You don't want to do a TF2 where there is sixty something robots or in this case people.

It might be a bit of a stretch to have them pardoned, but given the current controversy about detaining enemy combatants at blacksites, perhaps Zartan could order that Cobra Commander and Destro be transfered to stand trial and then use it as an opportunity to stage their escape, while making it look like an an accident/ambush/whatever they want. It seems like it'd raise a lot less suspicion than simply pardoning them.

If we do get a sequel, I hope what I thought the best part of the movie was gets more exposure, the rivalry between Snake Eyes and Storm Shadow, their bouts always seemed the most emotionally charged in the movie and made the movie for me personally.

I hope we get to see a little more of their past, which, as a non-fan, I assume there is.

I've thought about this myself I would only add one of two at most on both sides. For Cobra I would add Firefly because he is involved with Snake Eyes and Storm Shodow in the comics. So you could add FF into the SE and SS story and not have to really take time away setting up more new stories than need, while at the same time expanding on an existing story. I also would mind see Xamot and Tomax, I just think they would be a natural fit. As for Joes I just think Beachhead would work really well for some reason.
