Bryan Danielson has agreed in principle to a contract with World Wrestling Entertainment.
Bryan has been an exemplary talent and a wonderful member of the Ring of Honor locker room and family since the inception of the company. We couldn’t be happier for Bryan and all of his successes, many of which Ring of Honor has been proud to witness first hand.
We congratulate Bryan on the beginning of this next journey in his brilliant career, and wish him all the best as he progresses. Many Ring of Honor fans refer to Bryan as the “best in the world” and we look forward to looking on in earnest as he shows everyone watching the wrestling world’s biggest stage just why that is.
Bryan will appear as scheduled at all of the September Ring of Honor events. Please join us in Philadelphia, Dayton, Chicago, Boston, and New York as we say thank you and farewell to a truly one-of-a-kind talent.
i dont think so.... punk was just in a grueling match and "wasnt" aware of takers presence.... im hoping that like mentioned already that punk wins at breaking point and takes on taker at hell in the cellDoesn't Taker chokeslamming Punk kind of kill Punk's heel heat? I just want Punk to look like a credible heel champion and actually go over on Taker.
Any thoughts on Bryan Danielson signing with the WWE? I think that if he gets to keep his name, or have his first name spelled as "Brian" he might go somewhere in the WWE. If they give him a silly name (which I think will happen), he may not go anywhere in the WWE. I really want him to either keep his name as is or spell his first name with an "I" instead of a "Y" but I somehow doubt it.
He's also a submission guy and the WWE needs someone like that on their roster. He could be like Chris Benoit (without the "going insane and killing his family part").
Bryan Danielson will be sent to RAW then jobbed out to Cena and HHH, then sent to ECW and buried by Kozlov then wished best of luck in all future endeavors. This is the natural order of things.
So was the fan thing planned?
Jobbing out Bryan Danielson doesn't make any sense imo. Outside of the IWC most people have never heard of Ring of Honor, so it's not like burying Danielson will make WWE fans think ROH sucks. The only thing it really does is add another body to the roster, and it lets ROH know that they got under your skin. It's just not a smart business decision to job out a wrestler from another company that has no chance of competing with you anyway.
Colt Cabana is going to have to disagree with that statement.
Maybe so, but would you not agree that giving ROH the impression that their new time slot actually matters is pretty stupid. Why give them the satisfaction?
How many people are going to see ROH on HDnet? That company will not be competition for the WWE, until they get a TV deal with a network that is provided by most cable/satellite companies.
