While Agent Carter has not been confirmed, it's very likely it will be soon.

Yeah, the latest word is they're bypassing a pilot and going straight to series, right? Before I heard that, I was concerned about the show, but I think it's certainly more likely than not right now.

1.8
5.69

And like previous weeks I think it will adjust up. Possible it may even adjust up to 2.0. As the first half hour was 1.9

Those are the rumors right now,
No announcements yet .

I really hope that they don't end this season on a big cliffhanger,
Because you just never know what a network is gonna do .

A nice 0.1 uptick again would do nicely.

The show is really starting to finds its feet.

Lets hope its good enough for renewal. (I'll be nervous until its official)

Which rating is the one that networks care most about, the demo rating or the overall rating ?

It really sucks that the ratings aren't higher , since NCIS was a repeat . I really thought after WS the rating would start to pick up .

They've kinda confirmed there will be dangling plot threads. It's a lock for a second season, though. Worst case scenario is probably a reduced budget (which wouldn't be good).

Interesting. The rating went down, but there were actually more people watching. Looks like the old folks are getting into the show! :oldrazz:

One interesting thing to note: there are actually more people that watch AoS live than there are people who went to see the last MCU movie on opening day in the US. Obviously watching the show is (pretty much) free, so it isn't exactly comparing apple to apples. It does make you wonder why people think that there should be more people watching based on the film series numbers, though.

Thanks for doing that! Well when u see that it is crystal clear that the show will be renewed. You obviously know a thing or two about ratings to focus on the 18-49 demo cuz that's all they care about.

Is that all of ABCs original programing? Seems like only a few shows, I thought they had a lot more...lol

It's good to see the ratings may finally be swingin back the other direction, or at very least stabilizing.

And for once, my non-geek friends are actually coming to me saying "did you watch SHIELD?? it's intense!"

thinkin season 2 is def pretty locked in

Think it got mentioned in the episode's thread but not in here yet:

http://tvbythenumbers.zap2it.com/20...is-the-goldbergs-rise-new-girl-glee-hit-lows/

Initial Ratings:

Marvel's Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.
1.9
5.45 million viewers

So it's initials matched last week's final numbers.

Assuming the trend holds, I think it should adjust up to at least a 2.0 later today in finals.
I'm sure it's gonna get renewed but if these number stay for the next season , do you guys think the network will be happy ?

I'm expecting a jump this week once the live+ numbers are released.

I'm really hoping the season finally has some pretty big numbers to it.

If it was to hover around 2.0 all season I think they would be happy. I mean over the course of the 2013-14 season demo wise it has been the best 1-hour drama not named Scandal or Grey's Anatomy on ABC

Also in today's TV market you just don't cancel shows that are around 2.0. Ask FOX or NBC if they could use another 1 hour drama that averages 2.0+ for the season.

I think combined FOX and NBC only have 2 dramas that have averaged a 2.0+ demo all season and Sleepy Hollow was only 13 episodes, so who knows what it would have averaged for a full season of 22 episodes. Possible it could have fallen off a bit which could have brought the average down below 2.0.

NBC has had a recent history of shows that hover around the 2.0-2.9 mark in the ratings, although those shows were mainly comedies.
