Just finished RE2 with Claire and I never noticed that she had a ring on her wedding ring finger

what did you play on? That game needs a remake or at the very least a proper port bc Ive tried the original PS1 games and they are unplayable by todays standards

I played it on my PS3 :hehe:

And has anybody seen that fan remake of RE2? That guy does what Capcom don't.

I've heard of a lot of fan remakes that get slapped down by the companies, even if they released it for free, had all of the appropriate marks and everything. It's always kind of sad to see that.

It's still fun and payable to me.

Watching Claire A as we speak.
The original cutscenes are as they are.

Well, there's the one you're talking about, the hook man one, and the supernatural one, unless the one you're taking about overlaps with those latter two.

I think I read something recently that builds featuring the Cradle of the Progenitor, the black fog, blue mist and animated dolls were all the same build. The black fog looks like Ouroboros, and the hookman/dolls seem to show up when Leon's infection acts up. The edges of the screen turn bluish and then the hookman pops out, the dolls start running around and a deer head starts screaming. This build with the Cradle is the same as with the airship, waterwheel/dock in the storm and the castle.

Here's my source: http://www.relyonhorror.com/in-depth/resident-evil-3-5-in-depth-analysis/

I'm seeing some RE4 mods on Youtube: Resident Evil 4 Contamination, which seem modeled after 3.5. They add some extra fog/mist, darken the environments, add in zombies that mimic the ganados except that they're not as easy to kill. Some of the monsters appear a bit earlier, too. The first village segment already features the colmillos wolves, and the mining camp area is remodeled to resemble a swamp infest by the novistadors. Have any of you played the mod, and would you recommend it?

After watching videos of that fan remake, I don't think that is the best thing to happen to RE2.
Shooting at a zombie while the perspective is the zombie's in shaky first person is annoying.
Some spots are really dark.

In what way? Because I don't see how one could say that about RE2 and not REMake, since they play and control more or less the same. Unless you're just talking about the visuals, because PS1 graphics do tend to be pretty damn fugly by today's standard.

The controls are awful. I haven't played the RE remaster yet so I might feel the same way but thankfully they do have a new control scheme. And yes the visuals are god awful and hard to get past

If you hate the tank controls in RE2, you will in REMake for sure. New controls might suit you, but I found them to suck. The controls themselves are okay, but the fixed camera angles definitely weren't designed for them. I thought it made the whole experience a bit of a mess.

I like the new controls so I don't have to hold square all the time to run. And they make for a clean get away...but once that camera changes...

And considering how the camera changes a lot...

I agree. The new controls hurt the experience rather than help. Then again, I've never had a problem with tank controls.

I'm in the air for getting this for 360. I'll wait until it goes on sale or I have extra cash.

Maybe I'll get some on my taxes.

The Chronicles games are alright. Although I don't think our ideas match up since I think RE5 Gold and RE6 are easily worth those prices. Easily. And I wouldn't pay a nickel for RE3.

I love RE3. Not touching RE6 based on everything I've heard/seen. Played ORC for the first few levels and hated it.

I'd consider getting the Darkside Chronicals as I just looked up the UC and I did play that on the Wii and enjoyed it.

Eh, you have to take most of what you see/hear about modern RE games with a grain of salt. Unless you just really detest modern RE, RE6 is a very solid game. Well worth $7. It's honestly one of the most in-depth TPS titles I've ever played.

RE4 was fun and crazy. RE5 was just kinda scene to scene with the occasional crazy. The only part that sounds interesting in RE6 is Leons scenario.

If you're looking for crazy, RE6 has you pretty covered:

Honestly, even if you skip the main campaign, I think Merc mode is probably worth at least $7.

This is why Im glad Ive been a member of Plus since the beginning. Most of that stuff has been free

thats unfortunate. RE6 is an underrated game. Better than I expected it to be. Im sure most that bash it have never even played the final game and their only impression was that awful demo and internet memes/videos which exxagerate and overblow the worst parts of it

Do you have a Move? Its one of the few games that work quite well with the peripheral. Better than a controller for sure

Listen to these two gentlemen. RE6 basically became trendy to hate before it even came out. It's not without its flaws, but it's an enjoyable game. I'd offer to play along with you on the campaigns, but I'm imagining you don't have the 360. Either way, if you get it you will probably enjoy it on some level since all the campaigns are geared toward appeasing different people.

Saints from Saints Row jacket. :awesome:
Those crazy bits are awesome in RE6, but the frustration from [blackout]chasing Carla[/blackout] part made me not want to touch that game again.
