RE5 was a ***** with an AI partner. By the end of the game I powered through the lower levels until I could get a infinite magnum and just gave it to my partner. I was fine using what I had just as long as they didn't need to waste every bit of my ammo and healing.

Hmm... So, Burton is going to be your medic/possible pack mule, (mobile item box) huh? I get the feeling there is going to be more than one occasion where Claire and Burton are going to be split apart for a good amount of time, so you can't rely on her too much. I just hope her AI is smart enough to handle the support role. That will make or break the game.

We've come a long way in making capable AI and considering Capcom probably wants to get back all the people it's lost who were more fans of the old school RE experience I'm sure they'll dedicate a good amount of time to it.

if it's Capcom doing it ( the people that do Res per usual) then it's a problem. If it's say some other studio like say naughty dog or other's that have done way better or made sure that won't be a problem with their Ai or have those ai characters bei noticeable the enemy AI then it's a different story. with Res's history minus 4 it's usually terrible

If you are referring to TLoU, that game didn't have good A.I. The way they dealt with A.I. was to make it nonexistent! And that was bc they couldnt get a good balance that actually worked w/o detracting from the gameplay experience. Capcom could do the same thing here but Im sure people would complain about the immersion

If they wanted that, they'd just drop the co-op aspect all together. Despite all the glib they may give in interviews, I really don't think they care much about regaining back old school fans considering the series has sold way more in the new style than the old.

They wont go back. Capcom really has lost its way on many of its IPs.

The best we'll see, are these remakes. I just hope we get a RE2 remake.

I stated in my post after that one you quoted with The last of us they made it so they weren't noticeable havok . or I do remember saying it in the last of us thread, but I know I stated that the one here as well that one made the mistakes on that game is you the player.

I never fully stated with that one it was good design praise wise, just that they made them barely noticeable and the one that made the mistake was you the player with "the last of us" . As to capcom doing that, as I said we'll see. Their track record with that them selves isn't highly good and the real issue is the chose's they make.

when ever they try to do so it's that they do a poor man's version of what other people do game play wise, which is why they always fail, The Dead space's foot stomp on a zombie's or similar like creatures head is an example of this.

They should fallow Rocksteady example and hire the people that ether created it & have since left the place where they worked or know how make a certain style of game play. Rocksteady didn't know how to make driver levels they found a dev that did and he's their unsung hero.

yeah they talk about the bat mobile part too much now and days, But they were smart enough to know their limits which capcom doesn't.

Dev's are mostly contract workers and half them leave often or are made to cause there's no more work or they feel it's time to move on they are always moving around til they settle or make studio of their own. there always some one to find that has worked on certain type of game play a studio might want to do for their first time, but don't know how to do it.

It's better then having greif later over game play you don't know how to implement. Which people are all over that with other stuff that was screwed up.

Well fine then, I was hoping they'd do that. :oldrazz:

I'm a bit hyped for REVII, but I'm just a little disappointed it's an interquel.

If they need a side game to figure out what should be in 7, I'm for it. 6 was a rush to the finish and look how that turned out.

What? There's been no announcement on RE7. The latest games to be announced was the HD remaster of REMake and Revelations 2.

We're getting a HD remaster of a remake of a game. That sound odd to anyone else? :p

Revelations is what I meant. I just abbreviated it as REVII. R-E-V II:oldrazz:

Sorry bout that.

Or RER2 since that's the actual abbreviation.

Don't like weak AI partners. Only part of RE4 I didn't like was playing as Ashley.

So, I just bought a copy of Resident Evil 4 Wii Edition for $5 off eBay. Wasn't really looking to get it, just threw a bid out when I saw the listing so cheap, but ended up getting it haha. I never played RE4 with the motion controls, but I've been thinking about going through the game again.

Shooters on the Wii are fun with the motion controls as it reminds me of the Light gun games back at the arcades and RE4 was great for that and that's why I liked Umbrella Chronicles on the wii even if it was just a rail shooter.

New info about Revelation 2. Looks like it's going to be a budget title for one (full retail package for $39.99, $24.99 for full digital package), but it's also going to be episodic in literal form, not like the first game, which had a seemingly episodic form with cliffhanger ending to sections along with "previously on" segments, but still played as a straight-through experience.

Details in the blog that details all of this: http://www.capcom-unity.com/brelsto...t-and-details-for-resident-evil-revelations-2

Here will be the price structure, it's said that the retail version will also have exclusive material that you can't get by just buying the full title digitally.

surprise its coming out weekly. Thats rather fast

ETA: Anyone notice that the season pass is more expensive to get than the episodes individually? Thats odd bc generally the season pass is a savings over buying them seperately

It comes with extra content
Many season passes come with extra content. Thats used as a selling point to get people to get them. Its rare, if ever that one is more expensive. Ive at least never seen this

It's somewhat different, though. Most season passes are for additional DLC to the main game. This is the game, all four episodes priced at $5.99 individually, with some additional content that you won't be able to get by buying them individually. They may not even have it set up like a season pass where you buy the pass and get the episodes automatically.

EDIT: And do most season passes give you bonus content? I always thought it was more standard just to give you a small discount on content that would be released to everyone.
