Capcom The Resident Evil Thread

I realized two things after that. First, I had gun powder to mix to make bullets :o and second that I should pay more attention to the ingredients notes. :D

One of the things that annoys me is you can shoot a zombie about 2-3 times in the head and they won't fall down. And even if they fall down, they get back up. I even once used the shotgun on a zombie's legs and he fell down and got up.

A shotgun blast to the head will kill most things in one shot.

That... sucks. It's happened to me once or twice. And I had no ammo and no health spray/herbs and was in caution because I didn't think about merely disabling zombies instead of killing them all. Next run through I'm crippling them without wasting ammo.

The moment where you finally get the item for the jack in the library and when you get there you find there's not only a zombie there, but Mr X as well. With barely any ammo.

completed my first run as leon and second as claire. easily the best remake i have ever played and the best RE game ever. 'nuff said!

Given how well this has sold, a remake of Nemesis is quite likely. They should do a similar remake to the original Resident Evil as well.

Forget Nemesis, I'm more scared of seeing updated versions of those frog Hunters. They always creeped me out in RE3.

Out of all the Birkin boss fights, it was the second one that kept giving me trouble. Kept getting knocked off by that damn container.

I managed to escape him for now and into the sewers. I went back a few save points and came out in a much better position. Now I just have to beat the sewer croc. Unfortunately don't have time to continue until later. :(

How would a remake of RE3 be relevant?

I don't remember it that much, but a lot of it takes place in the same locations as RE2 and, from what I heard - and those of you who played the new one can correct me here - Mr. X already acts a lot like Nemesis.

The shift to behind the shoulder camera would make it relevant. Same for RE and Code Veronica.

So glad that I saved up those flame rounds. It is oh-so satisfying burning the Ivy zombies to a crisp.

Because Re3 is the only one in the series not available/ ported to Ps4. Also the success of Re2 remake guarantees it as I doubt Capcom, of all developers would skip on doing a follow up due to some "relevancy" issue which is non existent. Nemesis is also the most iconic Re villain/creature. While Jill hasn't headlined a numbered title since the original Re3. Also downtown, the park, clock tower, uptown, raccon city, hospital, dirty factory, none of those were in Re2.

My question was how would it not have a feeling of more of the same considering it would look just like RE2 Remake in so many areas and with Nemesis basically acting like Mr.X once again.

I guess they could dump some of the sections that the two games had in common or reduce it, shake it up a little bit, bring new stuff, implement some new features to Nemesis, make our encounters be something different...I don't know.

I remember how RE3 was oftenly considered RE2.5 with Code Veronica feeling like the true follow up. A RE3 Remake should do enough to go beyond those labels to feel like a proper sequel.

Can you put down Mr. X in Re2 remake, before towards the end? Nemesis can be put down in the original re3 everytime you interact with him. Re2/re3 have similarities but they are also completely different games, as Re3 only has 1 main playable character and has those "choices".

Also I'm pretty sure, Capcom would make Raccoon City larger and I'm interestedto see the new establishments that they would feature. While I dont see the harm of featuring the police station again, as it was Jill's workplace and that one was a 10 minute section in the original re3.

I'm just about to the NEST site. I actually realized I forgot to grab some stuff from the police station so I'm going back to an earlier save to grab it.

I finished right at midnight on my first run. Unfortunately I only got a C for my grade, ran a little over 8 hours to get a B. Next run maybe I'll get a better score. At least then I will know where everything is and how to run it that much faster.

Baby face Leon Kennedy is a cutie.

Calling a RE3 remake irrelevant because RE2 borrows a couple of elements from the third game seems like such a narrow scope to label it such.

There is more to RE3 than the Nemesis, similar environment and making ammo from gunpowder. Even back then Mr X and Nemesis were similar in that they were both non-persistent and deafeatable, yet that doesn't render RE3 redundant. Neither does the use of familiar environments as we see them from new perspectives as well as completely new areas on top of that.

Inagine seeing those areas prior to them being completely overrun by undead. If anything the ability to re-use said environments is a bonus to the development process as they would just need a little retooling. Besides it does look like RE3 may be a foregone conclusion given they seem to be hinting at it in interviews.

If they really are making RE3 then I would love to see them update the original Mercenaries bonus mode to be multiplayer like later games.

I loved RE3 and on the PS1, that was my favorite of the original trilogy. Id love to see it remade and cant wait till thats officially revealed
