Why would bane wear a regular suit though, really just doesn't fit the character for me. I love TAS as much as the next guy, but I think suits are very normal, why wouldn't he just wear body armor for most of the film, if he is gonna used scorched earth tactics.

For the life of me, I cannot remember any unmasked bane photos, I remember one where half of his mask was up past the nose, he had a beard i think.

I'm personally more partial to the white then I am to the red eyes.

That mask just looks like symbiote Spider-Man with red eyes to me lol

As you can see, the comic book accuracy is uncanny. Granted, in order to fit the strict, tight, completely restrictive confines of Nolan's realistic Batman universe, the purple and pink housecoat was swapped for a suit. I think it's a fair compromise. We know Nolan loves suits, and we know Bane loves pink and purple. Everyone wins.

In all honesty though, I actually do see a slight resemblance (before I modified everything), particularly in the way the eyes are drawn vs. Hardy's eyes. Perhaps it's just me seeing things that my brain wants to though.

While looking up reference and inspirations pictures for something I'm working on I found that Bane action figure, and damn! I loved it! But it does seem more like a hulked-out Symbiote Spiderman with red eyes, or hulked-down mouthless Venom-inspired luchador.
