Welcome to the Hype! If you're a true stalker... What color are my undergarments I'm wearing RIGHT now?

Yup, posted that pic a week ago as just one more piece of evidence to support my argument that Gwen will die.

Question...

Is that cog and Gwen stationary? It's a single still, so there's no way to know for sure, but I can't make out if it's resting on anything. Hmm...

It is connected to another vertical cog to the left :)

^ Not sure if that is correct. The vertical cog to the left would not work with the perpendicular cog Gwen is on...

Welcome to the hype!.:yay: Yep we all saw that pic, but I agree I'm about 97% sure she will die at the clock tower.

The Gear on the left is connected to the gear Gwen is on...which is connected to the Gear behind her, I am guessing it will be moving. Would be quite frightening imagery if it was, imo.

I remember someone mentioning it reminded them of the fight scene at the end of Basil the Great Mouse Detective. I love that movie so much, but that scene gave me nightmares when I was a kid. :funny:

You are right that perpendicular cogs can function together, though that is less common.

So it will be cool seeing her trapped on this cog spinning around.

And to think she's just one jarring force away from falling hundreds of feet to the ground below. Do you think a pumpkin bomb or something will cause her to fall, or will Goblin knock her off or grab her and then drop her. Did he deposit her in that spot to lure Spiderman into a trap?

I have a feeling goblin will knock her off.

I've got to admit I'm a little bummed they showed us the Cog shot. It was one thing to try to argue about her dying at the clock tower with the minimal proof of that quick shot of Spidey casting his web down, but now we have the victim at the scene of the crime, so to speak...

Why did they do that?????

We'll probably never know...Well, at least not until after the movie is released. :cwink:

What if the neck snap thing never happens, and instead, it's Gwen being caught between the cogs? Spidey shoots his web down to save her, but it's too late.

I definitely hope the neck snap happens instead, but I'm just raising other possible scenarios.

I think Gwen getting crushed is much less likely to the neck snap or fall.

If anything, I could see him catch her with the web, which would get many of you guys going "see, she's alive< and then the web gets cuts in the moving cogs and she falls to her death...

Crushed in between cogs? Ugh that's a little gruesome.

This is a more likely possibility.

I think when Gwen dies, her corpse will be fully intact (with the exception of her neck). She'll die looking just as pure and beautiful as she was when she was alive. Peter's innocence lost.

I think it's gonna be just like the comics, whiplash from catching her.

Marc's said that they honor the canon in many ways, but also diverge from it. But if we have the outfit, and the bridge nearby, I'll trust Webb that he'll portray the death/adapt it accordingly.

I think everything will be the same, except for the who and where.

I'm shocked to see that spidey may actually have his mask on during Gwen's death (assuming she dies at the clock tower).
