sorry..... it makes the same sound as the TIE fighters from Star Wars

No! It produces the sound of the Wilhelm scream from every Nazi soldier it collides with!

Everyone is this thread is wrong except me! Captain America's shield makes a "WANK" sound.

should be red white and blue shield, not red silver and blue. the straps looks comfortable

I think everyone will get the general idea of it being red white and blue.

i think it will get painted or something. maybe the lights made it look silver or something in the case. i like the straps though, when he wears it like a back pack that will be awesome. hope he does the front roll to shield throw

All I want to see is a badass display of it's indestructibility. Maybe have a tank shell it, that'd be cool.

yea tank shell block would be best way to show its awesomeness

so should he be able to decapitate people with it or just knock them out.

I'm betting we'll get at least one "implied" decapitation. Meaning we sure as hell wont see it, but we might see a shadow or a sound cue to indicate it.

I hope he doesn't decapitate anyone with that shield, that'll go against his whole "I don't kill people lol" stance.

Hell no too long ago in the comics, Red Skull almost begged him to decapitate him.

looking at the shield i dont think it would decapitate. it is more blunt on the edges than sharp

I kind of don't like that, to be honest. I like it beeing sleek and sharp.

Cap never killed anyone during the war?

it has a lip instead of coming to a point. so it would just bludgeon people

The fact that the white sections aren't actually white is a good decision, in my opinion. It makes it look more... serious.

I agree too. I actually prefer this "new version". I just really hope a war isn't raged with people saying its dishonoring Kirby's original design.

In the books he has used the Shield to decapitate at least one person. The guy was technically already dead (Baron Blood) so not sure you would count that as a kill. He was also on the floor and Cap had to force the thing down to do the job, so as far as him throwing it to lob someone's head off, I'd say nah (now if it was thrown by the Hulk...)

Hulk wouldn't need to throw the shield to decapitate someone, he'll just get Kevin Fiege to replace the guy.

I didn't see your reply, my bad.

But no, Cap DID kill people in the war, for sure.

That's a reason why he doesn't kill anyone now, because of what happened in the war. The most he's done to a general solider (say a HYDRA grunt) was just knock them out with the shield.

Steve hates killing, and has admitted it. Which is why there was so much crap behind the whole Bucky with a gun thing, simply because "Captain America doesn't use a gun or kill".

How do you know how they designed the original shield back in the 1940s. They will probably update it to the Kevlar Plastic one for the modern Capt.

It's been hinted at in both IM films the shield has been around some time, likely revealed to have been made (or collaborated on) by Stark's father.

Something I'd like them to confirm is how unique the thing is. The secret to the alloy/process etc that successfully made the Shield should be as lost as the exact process that created the unique Cap. Both were intended to be mass produced for the War and both wind up being one of a kind.

Now that's how you make a shield look indestructible. :cap:

Frankly, it looks like machined aluminium to me. The word indestructible doesn't really pop to mind. :)
