true, he does get shot too and survives, so i guess he's still healing a bit better than human level

have we heard any mention of adamantium poisoning after he loses his powers??
I know its super nerdy, but I'd be kinda pissed if they don't mention it

Yes, we've heard the film addresses that.

yes i did find everyone praising the bullet train sequence. The clip of that fight was heavily edited and it reminded me a lot of Origins. hopefully its better like the critics say.

Agreed. That clip was... disappointing. But then again, every clip released before the movie comes out looks disappointing when it's heavily edited and out of context. Man of Steel, Pacific Rim, etc.

ya most people seems to like the story which can lead to a huge improvement over Origins. But yeah from what I can gather the action is taking a back seat to plot, which is weird for a Wolverine movie.

Wolverine said he is "not healing like before" from the trailer, which could mean that his healing is still intact, probably being most used up by Adamantium and he is mortal.

The reviews have been saying this movie is more based on character than anything else. The action scenes have gotten decent reviews from what I could tell. Some are even saying that the action does get too heavy at some point which gives the first hour or so of the Wolverine a big contrast to the last few minutes of the movie. Also people shouldn't expect too much building crashing or too much blockbuster feeling to the movie since it's very grounded.

Only one of those quotes was solely about the bullet train sequence, most of them were praising the action/fight choreography in general. I don't think the action is something that needs to be worried about. Personally I'm glad Mangold has focused on character and plot, it's what makes a film good after all.

Glad to see this movie wasn't a failure, if even some people really liked it than it must be AT LEAST solid. I was expecting the worst, I admit. Do we have any descriptions of the after-credits "stinger"? Jackman made it sound like it's an actual trailer for DOFP, and I heard it clocks at about 2 minutes. Could something that awesome actually be true? Or is it just a clip that alludes to that film? Do we know this yet?

Lots of people have hyped up the mid-credit scene. I am sure there are some spoilers out there, but you have to find them yourself.

And use spoiler tags if you post it here.

I will say the bullet train scene is awesomely good. Far better than that trailer clip.

That's good to hear.

Did you have any issues with some of the changes done to SS and Viper? Was worried from the trailers they may go a bit XMOW with them like they did with Gambit/Deadpool, and give them more ridiculous powers and fighting abilities.

I could have done with a bit less of Viper, to be honest. It did make it very 'comic-booky' when she was doing her stuff so often (even though this isn't comic book Viper). I'd rather they had dialled that down.

Changes made to SS seemed fine - and the battles with both versions are impressively intense - though some might not like how SS turns out in the end (as spoiled by the Mirror review).

X-Maniac, will your review be published or on Rottentomatoes? :D

Not on Rotten Tomatoes, not as far as I know. I have applied to go on there a few times and have never heard anything back, so for some reason they don't like me!

But it will appear somewhere, yes!

Well that sux...but good to know you liked the film :D

That's good to hear. What would you're overall impression on the film be? As well as your rating.

Gotcha. Thanks.

Good question. Thoughts are still swirling round in my head. It's definitely better than Origins. Makes some concessions towards 'Hollywood blockbuster' territory and 'X-Men formula' and I would have preferred it hadn't had to do that as much, but it's intense, involving and has something to say. Rating - I need to sleep on it! It's very late here and I need to be asleep!

If anybody who has seen the movie would PM me what the mid-credits/after-credits scene/trailer is, I'd be more than grateful....

It would be weird though if UNLIKE MOS, this film starts out with mostly mixed reviews only to recover and get excellent reviews.

I'm sure thats not impossible!

Even though I'm still reserving my opinion about SS being a mechanical robot or what. That looks awesome!

Yea, I gotta say, that picture of the Silver Samuri Armor is just amazing. hopefully it comes across like that in the film and makes proper sense.

I hope it gives wolverine a good battle.

and the credits stinger clocks in at 2 minutes? That would be something else. Hopefully we can get confirmation on that!

I have a question for those who have seen the movie alredy. Are Mariko and Yukio a large part of the story and are they written/acted well (I hope that their portrayals are good)? No specifics needed, just general opinions.

Poni_Boy's review is up :awesome:

Pretty excited that he says
to keep your 3D glasses on if you're watching it in 3D, earlier tonight a "leak" had said its Magneto and Proffessor X confronting Wolverine about a threat to their very existence, which is cool and all. BUT THIS makes it seem like that and more, something much more, I'm thinking about 6 stories tall!
