I honestly think Iron Man 3 was waaay overrated...just a cool episodic movie!

Man of Steel has its moments, but there was something wrong with the movie... the pacing...i dont know...sometimes very slow and repetitive, others very fast and exaggerated, like the last act, like a video game...

I honestly think i will like the Wolverine more... but...i could be wrong!

I was disappointed by Iron Man 3,and It just wasn't the mandarian,Star Trek Into Darkness,I am longtime trekker going back to early 1980's when i was young and I saw wrath of Khan In theatres, and Man of steel.

But some need to accept there Is no conspiracy by critics against man of steel. Many critics didn't like the original Star Wars films.Critics like some blockbusters,Iron man has a 94 on RT fresh and avengers 93,and dislike others.

The Wolverine Is getting some decent reviews. Now some of us here may end up liking the film even more than criticts but you can't call It a conspiract against X-Men films.

I enjoyed both Iron Man 3 and Man of Steel. But my favorite movie of the summer so far was Star Trek Into Darkness. I saw that one 3 times.

I loved Star Trek Into Darkness - at the time I saw it. But I found it faded from memory pretty quickly. I think it suffered a little from being a bit too mysterious about the villain, and from the villain having vague motives. It ended up being a bit shruggable.

Iron Man 3 was just okay for me. I found some parts to be funny including the reveal of mandarin. But yeah tons of critics loved Iron Man 3. I definitely enjoyed Man of Steel more, I watched it two times. Critics were split for Man of Steel. Mixed reviews at best.

Agreed, but looking at MoS RT score its like 55% or something, compared to Spiderman 3's fresh rating of 62%!!!

Just goes to show critics and the audience arent always on the same page.

I know MoS wasnt perfect and a slight dissapointment personally, but worse than SM3??? Not in a million years, its not like Supes whipped out a song and dance halfway through.

I have to agree I have been dissappointed with MoS and IM3 even more so, the reviews for IM3 were way off the mark for me, it was entertaining I guess, but as a comic book movie it was weak and more like a comedy to me.

But I just hope this can be something a bit different, I like Wolverine more as a character but that will just make me more critical probably so I am itching to see this as my I find my love of CBM's ebbing away slightly, maybe its a bit of fatigue of the genre or something, probably just me.

Perhaps, I mean Marvel seems to be pumping out 2 movies every year or so. It's just that comic movies have become very popular this new decade. Lets just say these next few years will be insane with comic book movies.

One thing that was very problematic with MOS is the pacing.Things just happened. There was no sense of...escalation.There was no proper build up for anything.

I was affraid that TW would suffer from the same thing, but judging from the reviews, even the quieter moments of the movie was well done, so that sounds promising.

Yeah are are getting more but are they getting better I ask myself, I dont know.

And your right, while they are now so popular and generate so much money we are only going to get more.

I'm not really complaining, there are plenty of decent ones but I just feel sometimes they need to experiment a bit more, its more a problem I have with the Marvel Movie Universe at the moment.

Fox generates a lot of hate it seems but I think what they did with X1/2 and First Class is better than the majority of Marvel stuff.

I agree, so far the only Disney/Marvel Studio movies that I really like are Avengers and the first Iron Man. But my favorite Marvel movie overall is X2:X-Men United. That along with X-Men First Class and X-Men I rank higher than Captain America, Thor, Iron Man 2 and 3.

It's been a divisive year from CBMs, moreso than any other I remember. I loved Iron Man 3, was bored to tears watching MOS (but it did make me go back and watch the original finally - for which I'm eternally grateful). I'd be estatic if Wolverine comes out on top for me and others. Honestly after XOW I thought it could never happen.

Yeah I thought it was maybe nostalgia playing tricks on the mind but having rewatched things like X2 and First Class recently I found them more watchable than Avengers which I got bored of half way through, as they at least had some adult themes about prejudice and fitting in to the world, while Avengers was just an excuse to blow stuff up, all be it in a fun way.

I might watch X1, X2 & XFC before Thursday (not XOW or X3, wouldn't put myself through those willingly), but I've been more interested in watching Mangold's filmography in the lead up. So far I've seen Walk the Line, 3:10 to Yuma, Cop Land, & Kate & Leopold.

For me:
X2>> XFC>X1 >>>>>>>>X3 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>XOW

Count me in the camp that thought Schreiber was great as Sabertooth even with the poor material. I'd love to see him back with a good writer.

Also I thought Iron Man 3 was great, best of this year so far and after seeing it 3 times a personal favourite.
Black infused the film with a freshness and tone that I haven't gotten from any other CMB, RDJ's best performance in the role. So many characters had distinct personalities (and great dialogue) even if they just had a line or two ("I don't even like working here"-guy & Stark's biggest fan).

Quite the contrast to MoS's cardboard cutout characters and clichéd dialogue. That series has massive potential, but Goyer simply doesn't have the talent to get it there.

I enjoyed STID but thoutht it was quite messy. Didn't like the WoK reversal thing either.

Film Crit Hulk nailed the problems with MoS & STID.

Why would I post about a shocking new trailer playing for DoFP in here? lol

Because Wolverine?

And I kind of don't care about a new trailer for The Wolverine. I see it in less than a week. lol

Yeah I don't really care either lol btw Wolverine was in his X Force suit in the DoFP teaser

No more reviews guys? This place has been pretty dry and I DON'T like it! lol

Any word on what that after credit sequence is supposed to show?

It's been posted in a few places. In spoiler tags, of course. Where they need to stay.

Its not that memorable and fresh as the first one, thats the problem when the 1st movie is so great and the next one didn't turn out that great even if the movie was still very good.

Yea same here. I just got a new tv with a faster refresh rate, and it's like watching a whole new movie on blu ray. So I'm going through the x-titles again. Just simply fantastic quality.

Last night I started with X1, this weekend will be first class, x-origins, then X2. X3 on Monday before I see the film on Tuesday.

I wanted to watch X1 first, it was the movie that started it all. Then I want to end on X3 because its the worst and will make watching The Wolverine that much more satisfying! I would watch origins last, but the wolverine takes place after X3.

I'm doing a rewatch too!

I watched X1 last Wednesday, then I watched X2 last Friday and I watched X3 yesterday. Tomorrow I'll watch First Class then in Tuesday, I'll watch Origins.

Then in Thursday or Friday, I'll watch The Wolverine! :woot:

I've read a description of the post credit scene in a few places, do we know how accurate it is?
