The trailer didn't excite me. But there were some good shots there.

I have a feeling this movie has the potential to be really good.

Awesome trailer right there,Keeps looking much better&better than I'm thinking it'll be like!!

i said it wasn't silver samurai who cuts wolverine's cheek and got shot down.

how ya like me now? lol.

trailer was pretty good!

I didn't expect Shingen to have a fight scene with Wolverine.

The Second Silver Samurai Armor is really Big. Cool!
I like the new Trailer.

I like the new trailer. There's some great shots. That fight with the ninjas in the snow looks like it could be amazing. The huge Silver Samurai mech-armour is interesting as well, could be very good.

Anyone else but me following the live Twitter Q&A with Hugh right now?

Nothing extra interesting so far though.

Yeah, I'm not sure we're going to get any new info from the Q&A. It doesn't seem like it so far anyway.

The giant mech-suit just adds to the Japan-ness of it all lol

To me, it actually makes sense now why the protagonist is wearing a Silver Samurai suit. Its not just to look good in film but to actually beat Wolverine.

But Silver Samurai being a robot suit kinda confirmed that SS is not a mutant.

Maybe, but in twitter chat with Hugh Jackman, he said they're will be new mutants in movie. So, SS could be one of those new mutants.

Yeah I saw Iron Man 3 yesterday and there was no trailer for The Wolverine! UGH! And I saw the trailer of Thor 2 and that trailer only went online like 5 days ago! I even saw trailers for three films from FOX but no The Wolverine!

I'm telling you marketing is one of the weakest things about FOX!

I was amazed that it didn't appear in front of Iron Man. If you want your comic book movie to get maximum exposure, stick it in front of another massive comic book movie. Not rocket science. What an incredible missed opportunity.

I just got back from Iron Man 3, and....

...they showed The Wolverine trailer. :awesome:

And it was on the IMAX screen, and it looked glorious.

Iron Man 3, btw, was pretty damn fabulous as well.

Thats nice!

Hopefully, The Wolverine will still get an IMAX release.

Good news for the Wolverine trailer, think of all the eyeballs viewing that sucker this weekend alone.

I didn't expect Shingen to have a fight scene with Wolverine.

That would have been a little odd, since his fight with Shingen is the climax in the original story.

Personally, I'm hoping it still is in this film. Wolverine's battle with Shingen was just as much mental as physical, and so was his triumph. I really hope they don't discard that in favor of making Silver Samurai the main villain, because Shingen was always more interesting to me.

I only read it once...I think I mixed Shingen up with Mariko's father and the fight with the sticks...it's been awhile. Shingen was who again? Wait nevermind, Wikipedia is awesome.

Doesn't the guy playing Shingen look too young to be Mariko's father?

In real life he's 52 and she's 27 so.. that's a plausible age.

Indeed, I can.

So much wow. :woot: Thanks for sharing those images!

I'm guessing his hand is so bloody because his healing factor is gone (so when he pops his claws, the cuts in his skin don't heal). But he'll probably get it back right about then, which explains the cut in the cheek healing and the "oh noes" look on his enemies faces.

Or I might be way off. :P

I just can't get excited about Iron Man 3

1:I never liked the extremties storyline being used
2:The trailers have left me with meh feeling. Now I have been not very excited about man of steel but their last full trailer made me reconsider
3:The plot summary I read online which I won't mention here due to spoilers
I hated

The ongoing Disney/MS VS Fox war that has erupted has made me more skeptical and resistent to MS films due to dismissing of good X-Men films(X-Men,X2,first Class) and dismisseve of both the wolverine and DOFP.Hell It took spoilers to get me excited on Star Trek Into darkness.Captain America 2 Is so far only upcoming MS that has my Intrest.

But one thing we can agree Is how great The Wolverine looks.

This Is anti-Origins.They keep characters confidend to who you would expect.
They found way to have a comic accurate silver samurai outfit In film as well
as Viper In green outfit.

It's the summer film I am eagirly anticapting.

He does look young. And the lack of baldness (like comic Shingen) has a bit to do with that. I honestly didn't think the guy was in his 50's. Dude looks good for his age.

Yeah he was also on Lost's final season and Revenge Season 1(as Emily VanCamp's mentor In Revenge)

They probally wanted someone who can be believeable as mariko's father and can also fight wolverine as In Comic.Of course we all know what happens to Shingen.

Yep. Of course, like I said, I hope they keep the final battle Shingen's instead of SS. Yeah, the SS fight can be more spectacular, but if they do Shingen right the fight with Shingen will be much more emotional and have more weight behind it. That's why I loved this arc in the original comic.

That makes sense to me. If he's going to have his healing power taken away, we'd likely see the damage that the claws do to his hands.

My dad loved that moment when his cheek healed when we saw the trailer before Iron Man 3 last night.
