That makes sense to me. If he's going to have his healing power taken away, we'd likely see the damage that the claws do to his hands.

My dad loved that moment when his cheek healed when we saw the trailer before Iron Man 3 last night.
Question, did cinemacon trailer show or domestic?

I just can't get excited about Iron Man 3

1:I never liked the extremties storyline being used
2:The trailers have left me with meh feeling. Now I have been not very excited about man of steel but their last full trailer made me reconsider
3:The plot summary I read online which I won't mention here due to spoilers
I hated

The ongoing Disney/MS VS Fox war that has erupted has made me more skeptical and resistent to MS films due to dismissing of good X-Men films(X-Men,X2,first Class) and dismisseve of both the wolverine and DOFP.Hell It took spoilers to get me excited on Star Trek Into darkness.Captain America 2 Is so far only upcoming MS that has my Intrest.

But one thing we can agree Is how great The Wolverine looks.

This Is anti-Origins.They keep characters confidend to who you would expect.
They found way to have a comic accurate silver samurai outfit In film as well
as Viper In green outfit.

It's the summer film I am eagirly anticapting.

Well, I thoroughly enjoyed Iron Man 3. The action was great, it was funny as hell, and RDJ was wonderful as always. The 'spoiler' didn't bother me either, without going into too many details. I'd totally go see it again.

Looking forward to Star Trek, Man of Steel, Wolverine (of course), and the rest of the Marvel sequels. Also looking forward to Catching Fire - we got that trailer last night too.

It's silly to let studio/fanboy wars get in the way of enjoying these movies. Just take them as they are, and don't worry so much about what the internet is dismissing or bashing or whatever.

I bet the music got a lot of people pumped in the theater. I love when that heavy banging gets going towards the middle.

The audience didn't really react to any of the trailers, actually. We got trailers for:

The Lone Ranger
The Wolverine
Thor 2
After Earth
Hunger Games
Star Trek
Man of Steel

The only one that got a response (and by "response", I mean "about three people said 'ooh!') was for Hunger Games.

They went wild for Iron Man 3, though.

Was it noticed that they are going to be doing a similar premise in the comics with [blackout]Wolverine losing his healing ability?[/blackout]

I wouldn't say that's a spoiler. The trailers heavily hint at it in the film and they've talked about it in interviews. As for the comics they've also been talking about making Wolverine mortal in interviews as part of marketing for that upcoming storyline.

Personally I'm wondering if Wolverine's brother will be part of that story since he's recently turned up in the x-books as antagonist of sorts to Wolverine.

I don't think they will be adding mutants Inless Viper Is turned Into mutant or the SS Is portrayed as Mutant. They have keep this cast small and only Yashida and Jean cameo
seem to be In film not part of original minseries or followup In Uncanny X-Men #172,173

My theater showed trailers for those movies except for The Wolverine/Hunger Games.:csad:

One of the twitter chats with Hugh Jackman confirmed there will be new mutants. I expect Viper may be a mutant given her ability (unless that's a toxin induced hallucination).

wolverine being the only mutant would have added to his sense of loneliness and isolation, i feel.

plus i kinda wish he was the only "son of the atom" because origins suffered from stuffing in as many mutants as possible.

I dunno. I think no mutants could potentially be as bad as too many mutants.

Yeah especially this is still a X-Men film. With Jean Grey having a cameo in this film, this film will at least have showcase 2 mutants.

And I think if Viper and Silver Samurai are mutants too, they would probably look more hostile to the general audience. But if they are not a mutant, the reaction from the audience might be "oh they aren't mutants, of course Wolverine will beat them".

I know this is usually the case with any trailer, but The Wolverine trailer really plays better in a theatre. Was never really impressed till I saw it on the big screen.

This movie I think is going to surprise a lot of people. It's the underdog right now but I'm willing to bet that once it's released many folks will be left with their mouths open.

Loved the Cinemacon trailer by the way.

If this movie ended up having a higher rating in Rotten Tomatoes than Iron Man 3, Man of Steel and Thor: The Dark World, I would be delighted!

He has a decent track record on RT, I could see it landing in the low 80's

I've definitely seen mixed reaction for the "hype" of the film depending upon what website I go on. Some complaints are understandable and agreeable with me "Origins was a turd" and "CGI train looks whack." Others are driven by some agenda "Only Marvel Studios/Disney should make Marvel films" or "Hugh Jackman has always sucked as Wolverine" or "Too much Wolverine." I think since this movie seems to be really focused on character and not on some save-the-world CGI and explosions everywhere like Man of Steel or Pacific Rim or one of those types that there's a crowd that's dismissed it outright for being smaller in scope.

Silver Samurai Sentinel. :awesome:

Cool. I wonder if we'll get a poster in that style for all the major characters?

ok, this image looks a little different from the Trailer Footage. The sword sheath is at his waist, instead of on his back, And the sword looks almost like energy?? idk

After watching the trailer again, I'm just not feeling it. It reminds me too much of Origins. Something happens to Logan personally. He undergoes an experimental process that changes his body. Gets "angry", a couple of action beats, some bad CGI in the final battle, the end.
