Yeah, Sam is definitely a different kind of friend for Steve. Even if he wasn't a superhero/Avenger, he and Cap would probably be good friends based on what we saw in TWS.

Sam is like a war time buddy that relates to Steve Rogers the man more than just the super soldier.

What if, in CW, during the war between him and Tony, he loses both Peggy and his new love interest, say if it is Agent 13 or Maria Hill?

That's dark....
That would be and I'm not sure I'd want them to go that far. I do think at some point, that they'll eventually have to kill off Peggy due to her old age and deteriorating health.

I like Peggy. Hayley Attwell did a good job. But Peggy needs to die between films and only referenced in passing if at all. Because...reasons.

First look at Cap vs. Iron Man in Civil War concept art

Legit or no??

Looks more fan-made than most of the recent concept art
doesn't look like Ryan Meinerding's work

and I don't like stubbly cap
the 5 o'clock shadow doesn't work with the suit
not big on the Ultimate IM helmet, or Cap's more armored helmet, either

I like Cap's armored helmet because it gives him a reason to actually wear it.

I was thinking yesterday: Why does Cap even wear a mask? Isnt he the only one to wear one besides IM who actually needs it. Everyone knows what he looks like and it didn't seem like the old ones gave him much protection

its a symbol, thats it
thats all it needs to be

if Natasha and Clint don't need helmets, neither does Cap
he just looks better with it
but you add armor, and it won't look as good, I don't think

for instance, his most recent comic outfit was wayy too armored, and it was ugly as sin

Different strokes I guess. I feel that he always looked better without the mask in live action.

I feel that Cap's uniform probably the hardest one to pull off in live action. Same with the Flash's

you didn't think the mask looked good in AoU??
i thought it was perfect..

it was fine. Nothing special to me. Same with the other ones save for Avengers 1

Do you really think it was a mask?

In Avengers 1? Yeah. In CA1, CA:TWS and AoU it's obviously a helmet. It looks as durable as a motorbike helmet, at the very least.

mask/helmet/whatever. Theres a mask part to it.

It still looked flimsy as hell and always seemed kinda superfluous to me

I think in Civil War instead of [BLACKOUT]Cap getting kill in Civil War Bucky will take the shot meant for Cap, like big Brother taking a hit for there little Brother, and have him say I'll follow you till the end of line. With also Peggy dying, both of those deaths would leave Cap broken, having him feel he let everyone down, he was so focus on winning the war it cost him his friends he let down. In which he says it wasn't worth it line, Leaving him to go into hiding, like a certain Jedi. :sly: [/BLACKOUT]

Cap looked pretty amazing in AoU, can't wait to see his next movie.

I think Cap's got a helmet because he had a helmet in those old WWII-era comic books that came out a long time ago.

Alright, sarcasm aside, I really like it when someone pulls his helmet off though. Seeing Chris Evans in his suit without a helmet looks pretty cool. I like him without, but I don't mind him going in with it on.

Cap uniform is a symbol that represents the hero, he is and like he said in the Winter Soldier "if your fighting a war, you need a Uniform."

Remember what was in Avengers 1 also.

"Uniform? Aren't the stars and stripes a little... you know, old fashioned?"

Even with that said, Coulson still believed Steve needed to wear it.

EDIT: And from what Coulson said, I interpreted it as "people need to be reminded of what freedom really is".
